Wine list was good. Went for a glass of Burgundy white.
Here’s what we had.
Amuse bouche:
-Taro puff
-Smoked fish
-Caviar on scallop tartlet
-Sweet corn tartlet
Cooked prawn with spicy beetroot sherbet on the side (mine was lime sesame as substitute)
Japanese Oyster with spring onion and lemongrass
Amadai with Thai kale and thick red choo chee curry (mine was coconut milk sauce as substitute). Deep fried ball of ground pork on the side.
Shredded Crab meat on fried rice. On the side: Crab paste, Black olive paste and homemade siracha chili sauce. Didn’t really like it- everything tasted too dry.
Grilled lobster
Australian Wagyu with fennel (texture like cabbage); with blobs of Basil jelly. Server explained this dish was inspired by the sauce used in the 香葉肉碎煎蛋飯 (Pad Kra Pao Mhoo).
Pre dessert: Roselle (洛神花) sherbet with raisin cooked in Orange on cubes of dragon fruit.
Mango IceCream and sticky rice. Probably my favorite dish of the nite; loved the Mochi-like texture of the rice.
Petit fours: coconut and pumpkin pudding, 糯米糕 and fruits.
In summary: not bad, but expectations were prob too high. Excellent service tho.
