Wow, JJ's is always a good place in my life. Previously a dancing place named as Jack & Jill, JJ's. Now such an authentic Thai food place with top-class service and ambience. Thus I need to esp sign up OPENRICE and place this comment.The dishes introduced by people here are all good. Don't miss COCONUT CREME BURLEE. The dishes introduced by people here are all good. Don't miss COCONUT CREME BURLEE. If u haven't tried, u don't know what u have missed in your life.
All other savoury dishes: appertisers, main course, salad, soup etc. As the topic mentioned, simple and common ingredients that u can find else where. But are just so authentic like I tried in Thailand or even better. Hot picks: 蒸大蝦, 蝦餅, Tao Hoo Savoury (炸豆腐) Taro Fritters (Only $45, super yum!), Phad Thai (mixed with Tamerind sauce! 很泰國的材料).
This is a restaurant with HEART. They import the original ingredients from Thailand to make the dishes authentic, but they don't charge higher than others. Price is similar to those in Times Square or PP. I like their dishes not in fusion type. I have talked with the people there. The chief chef was working with the Royal family before. He is famous for home-made dishes.
But JJ's told me that they would add more fusion dishes in the summer. So I suggest u to try as soon as possible. Else the taste now will be gone. Not sure if they would raise the price also (like Grand Hyatt's dessert buffuet 13 or 15 yrs ago).
Because we had champagne and 1 bottle of red, 3 persons for $2000. But if no alcohol, $800 will do.
後記: Ladies & gentlemen serving ladies & gentlemen. 一定要講, JJ's的service出奇地好, 令你好舒服. 我地開始叫3個creme brulee和兩個appertisers, 個款都幾運吉, 好似食完就走, 其實我地係想坐底諗起食mud就食mud, 唔好咁多壓力, 但佢地都超nice, 唔會搶碟或狂問有無加. 後來我叫酒, waiter以為我地飯後drink, 即suggest去隔離JJ's bar幫我地開張係個度歎, 因為二月是週年月, 買一支送一支, 仲有live band DROP ZONE,唔好. 點知我地其實係依家先開餐. 另, 我問有無Hunter's Valley的red, 因為winelist只有white, 佢地即全間grand hyatt搵(!!), 後來在他們的Grissini 意大利餐廳找到. 這樣的食物和服務和價錢, 在香港通常變得好快, 想去就即刻去...
