So surprised to see a number of negative comments here cause I just want to give it a tick!I went there with friends last week for afternoon tea. The food was good so as the service wasn't that bad as mentioned earlier here. The server was welcoming and brought us to the spacious sofa seat at one side. I especially like the hot chocolate cake. so impressive!
It wasn't too sweet but really right at the degree that make you feel rich and fulfilled! With the coffee, it is just a perfect match!


I would go there again for definite! Comparing with the restuarants in the shopping mall, I think this is the one I would pick!

I had Wooloomooloo about 2 months ago. It took me awhile to figure out how this name was pronounced. I had Wooloomooloo about 2 months ago. It took me awhile to figure out how this name was pronounced. Anyway, from outside looking in, this has got to be a very nice steak house.

So we sat down, reading the menu, as main courses without side dishes, I thought this steak house would be at the level of Morton or Ruth Chris. Althougth I've never hand Morton or Ruth in Hong Kong, but I was pretty confident that these named steak houses would be able to maintain the standard worldwide.

I ordered a Wellington, which was made quite well. (One If By Land of New York has the best Wellington Steak on this planet!) Inside was juicy, but the outter bakery turned soggy after awhile. Maybe the watery was from the mushroom, I don't know. All I know is that when I pay some $ 300 for a solo steak (by that, no side dishes), I expect not to see blood mixed with water on my plate. Appearance aside, the taste was a pass.

The Prociutto-Asparagus dish was too oilly, maybe it's the Aussie way? The olive oil simply covered the taste of the prociutto ham.

Service was okay, except she completely forgot to bring my wine, which I had to ask twice to get it.

The atmosphere, to me, was the worst. See, when I hit a steakhouse, averaging some $ 450-700 per person, I expect a very nice and peaceful environment. My next table, 2 guys were chatting on the phone loudly, as I was listening to the entire conversation unwillingly. Two tables afar, 3 ladies were in serious discussion on where to massage at Shenzhen. Maybe it's because it's at the Element, maybe the same restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui Center would be better, at least there would be loud music, rather than loud discussions. Maybe the apperance of the restaurant, which was open, was attracting the wrong crown.

I was in shock of the manner of the customers at such level of restaurant.

Went there last Friday night for dinner with my sweetie. Most of the staffs are non-chinese, but their service wasn't as bad as those previous comments. The waiter who serve us was really polite and friendly. He even provided some suggestions (recommendation) for our mains.Carb cake was below average, as we could tasted the texture of the crab meat, but I could barely sensed the taste of crab.I had the Prime Rib (center cut) which only available from Friday to Sunday. I pulled up this page on my taxi ride there and was already forming a pretty poor view of the restaurant. When I walked up and asked to see a menu - $300 for a 12 ounce rib eye with no side dishes??? - I handed back the menu and had a very enjoyable (but cramped, a lot of ABCs/expats apparently decided to skip the opening ceremony also) dinner at Causeway Bay Outback.
The next day I was invited to eat at Wooloomooloo by friend. A large gathering of Aussie friends, we had to eat at Elements to accommodate one of our other friends who is temporarily crippled and living nearby. I thought about warning him of my decision last night, but decided I didn't want to be the one reorganising the Elements dinner, so I decided to stay mum. Anyway Aussies are always about fair go (even at the expense of 7 other people).
The service is okay. Perhaps cos we speak English without prompting anyway. I was disappointed that they have a Louis Latour Grand Cru 1998 on menu but it wasn't available...went for a Latour Bourgogne Cuvee 2006 instead (I should've gotten an alternative recommendation for a similar wine, I thought...)
I ordered the 12 ounce rib after all, my organizing mate ordered the carpet steak, with spinach, fried and mashed potatoes as side dishes. We also ordered the beef carpaccio and a steak tartare as appetizers to share.
Someone seemed to have forgotten seasoning or whatever that's meant to go into the steak tartare but what it turned out to be very bland, I had to finish it off by eating half. The carpaccio was better but it really was finely cut - when I served it (clumsily) to the two girls sitting opposite me, each slice (there was 8 slices in total) was less than a tablespoon.
The mains were a disaster. My 12 ounce rib eye steak was rare as I ordered it, but bland, lacking in texture and sinewy. Not worth the $300. See photo.
I looked up at my organizing friend. He was rolling his eyes over his carpet bag too.

Despite the food it was a good place to catch up tho. That's cos there was hardly anyone else there - this is literally 因爲它的菜做的太難吃 (where's my 王佳芝?). I looked around - the restaurant is laid out in a long gallery overlooking the Kowloon station entrance, ending in a larger sitting area on the northern (?) end. We were the only table in the sitting area, there were 2-3 other tables in the gallery for the whole night. Miserable amount of business for a Saturday, they'll go out of business if they don't shape up (or find more 易先生s, quick!).
The bill turned out to be $400 pp. That's cos some ppl had salmon and lamb, which was cheaper. I blanched, but everyone else paid up real quick.
I can get a lot better food at Outback. If only they've better locations. Not going there again - the extra distance to Outback or other places is worth the trouble.

The 4 of us got a booth as walk-ins. We sat down, got our menus, and then wanted to order drinks as we browse them. We looked, we waved ... and we got upset because we can't get someone to take drink orders for 10 minutes (it was not a large place). Worse, when the waitress did come over, she took orders from (only!) two of us and then walked away as the rest of our company was ready to speak! We figured it was an isolated incident, so no big deal. Boy wre we wrong! When it came time for food, a manager (I guess) came to take our orders. I ordered mains for my date and myself, and I asked the manager to take orders from my friends while I peruse the menu a bit more (obviously with the intent of ordering more). After my friends are done, I looked up wanting to add a few side dishes, but (SURPRISE!) the manager also disappeared before ensuring we were finished! This must be the only place I've been anywhere where the staff wants you to spend LESS than you are prepared to.

The food was also quite unspectacular. By odd coincidence, my friend and I both ordered the rib eye, which was bland and overcooked (medium rare came out medium well). The ladies both ordered the daily special -- lamb shank -- and it was serviceable if not exactly inspiring. The side dishes -- mashed potatoes, a creamy spinach (whatever it's called) and grilled mushrooms -- were dour. Desserts are fine but cannot make up for a poor dining experience.

TGIF, Ruby Tuesday or Dan Ryan's are much better choices for franchised food.

朋友揀咗呢度幫小雲慶祝生日, 叫咗個豬柳同牛柳. 個豬柳睇落好"鞋", 但食落又唔係咁"鞋"喎. 個牛柳五乘熟, 啱啱好. 但最好呢係佢兩個甜品, 個係心太軟, 一個係homemade 嘅朱古力蛋糕. 我哋而然食到好肥, 但都停唔到口...... 仲有, 唔好似為d嘢好細份. 以上我哋叫嘅嘢, 已經係四人份量.

some weeks ago, 2 people order 1 chicken and 1 steak. Chicken is undercook with blood and steak is overdone!!! The manager gave me a softdrink for compensation. The chicken is not a new one but just "recook" and the meat is bad quality.The waitress(english speaking) is impolite, The manager is OK. Environment is not good, sit in near the corridor! 750$ for 2, i will never go again. This is the worst restaurant i tried in 2007!

Are they really that bad?? I've been few there for times and the service are fine. I think in Hong Kong most of the places will be the same, "need to speak English" cause you can see they(those servers)are not chinese right!!! Anyway, food are great!

其實最終係無試過D食物-今晚係Elements食完晚餐,唔太飽又想食D甜品,行過見到大餐牌有Apple Crumble,好想食,加上有一南亞裔男待應主動友善叫我地坐低慢慢睇餐牌,印象唔錯.餐牌上有3款Shared Sweetness嘅甜品combo(每個HK$140未計加一),其中一款有Apple Crumble又有Chocolate Cake,好啱食又好適合兩個人share,就唸住試吓.當時約7点半,餐廳坐滿咗1/3至1/4人左右,但都問清楚我地淨係食甜品可以嗎.個男待應即時問一個東南亞裔著套裝,似係經理orSupervisor嘅女人,佢話'yes, no problem'咁我地就跟佢入去坐低.一坐低佢先話(唔見得有禮貌)'you have to return the table in 45 minutes.'其實我地真係唸住食個甜品就走,45分鐘應該問題不大,但係比佢咁限時限刻咁規定幾時走真係唔想,加上佢嘅態度唔係好又話'our restaurant is very full tonight'.我地寧願走都唔食.可能佢地D食物好Okay,但係都冇唸住再去試啦.

had lunch here with my friend here today. not bad. 138 per person, although water costs extra and there's the 10%.we ordered from the xmas lunch menu with crab and tomato salad and beef tenderloin. both were of big portion. tomatoes were fresh but crab was just ok. i guess i can't expect much with 138. but beef tenderloin was really good. it was about 6 oz, very fresh and juicy. side veggies were good too. worth a try.

作為一個喜愛飯食的行政人員,經常想多找一些價錢合理又環境舒適的餐館。今次尊誠為下次同學會敘餐試試這裡的牛扒。餐館走優皮高檔方向,半開放設計,全英Menu,連侍應都只說英文。对部份人可能帶來不便。當天是星期五,大約六點到。坐低便有個經理要求八點還返張枱,認真無意思。原來餐廳好旺,星期五、六、日無訂位千祈唔好去。坐低便order一個沙拉,兩個排-rideyes同wooloomooloo steak。自家製麵包鬆軟,Good.洋蔥湯一般加上Menu選擇少,失敗。沙拉新鮮可口,可以一試。主菜上場,我要medium rare,燒烤工夫可取,但牛肉質量一般,欠肉味,只有調味香料的味道,友人的肉眼朳都欠肉味,用料級數問題也。餐酒選擇還算足夠,但多中下價澳洲酒。可知澳國上佳餐酒多的是,付責餐酒的要多多反省。

環境,我是偏心的給足5分了。味道方面,總店食物口碑好,而且價位不低,難免有點期望。香草包、Chicken caesar salad、steamed broccoli都不差,blue swimmer crab cake及lamb chop更是相當美味;不過另一款主菜Veal chop卻大失水準。
 
甜品時間,兩個甜魔拍板點了4款,如Oli所言,Rich Chocolate Cake最有水準,嗜甜者必試,其次是WoolooMooloo Warm Chocolate Cake,Lemon & Lime Pie,Banana Pie是最麻麻。不巧是我們亦是按這個順序品嚐甜品,即是一碟不如一碟,可想而知滿足感打了折扣。整體來說,食物不是差卻硬是未夠好,是有少許失望的。服務態度也一般,最抵讚已是多一球雪糕的誠意了。
 
不過是晚真的好高興,4個人由七點多一直坐到十點多,傾得十分盡興,是另一方面的大滿足。發完澳洲夢,希望下次snoppy也要來,到時我們再一起發甜品夢,好不好?

一行4人上個週末飲完茶到Elements閒逛, 累了想找家餐廳吃下午茶, 見到Wooloomooloo有位便走過去, 入門已是全英語對答, 仕應小姐們看來都是菲藉的, 幾經咬撬才能坐走廊的卡位, 放下menu便走了, 看看沒有下午茶menu, 只有正餐的, 亦沒有咖啡或茶menu, 想找個仕應索取飲料menu, 等了半天才出現, 最終送來飲料menu, 才看到有蛋糕之類的甜點, 期間仕應小姐亦送上1碟意大利麵包頭, 當我問是否要收錢的, 她便很不屑的答Free of charge. 很了不起!最後我們點了1件蛋糕,1件pavlova和4杯飲料, 那位仕應小姐用英語問Are you just ordering desserts?我答Yes, 她又再加重語氣問Are you just ordering desserts?, 我答Do you expect us to have a full course meal at this hour?(當時是下午3時多4時) 她沒趣的, 黑口黑面的收走桌面的小碟, 是故意拿走讓我們沒碟放醋油醮吃他們送的麵包頭或是真的忽略了? 坐了不久, 隔離來了5

一行4人上個週末飲完茶到Elements閒逛, 累了想找家餐廳吃下午茶, 見到Wooloomooloo有位便走過去, 入門已是全英語對答, 仕應小姐們看來都是菲藉的, 幾經咬撬才能坐走廊的卡位, 放下menu便走了, 看看沒有下午茶menu, 只有正餐的, 亦沒有咖啡或茶menu, 想找個仕應索取飲料menu, 等了半天才出現, 最終送來飲料menu, 才看到有蛋糕之類的甜點, 期間仕應小姐亦送上1碟意大利麵包頭, 當我問是否要收錢的, 她便很不屑的答Free of charge. 很了不起!

最後我們點了1件蛋糕,1件pavlova和4杯飲料, 那位仕應小姐用英語問Are you just ordering desserts?我答Yes, 她又再加重語氣問Are you just ordering desserts?, 我答Do you expect us to have a full course meal at this hour?(當時是下午3時多4時) 她沒趣的, 黑口黑面的收走桌面的小碟, 是故意拿走讓我們沒碟放醋油醮吃他們送的麵包頭或是真的忽略了? 坐了不久, 隔離來了5-6位紅鬚綠眼人士, 她們對他們的態度則友善多了, 還以為會一視同仁呢! 真另我覺得有"中國人與狗不能內准" 的感覺!

Wooloomooloo的老闆們: 若你們只做英語人的生意請在門口寫明, 若不做下午茶生意也請一同標示!! 免得我吃甚麼也只有激氣兩字的評語!!

蒜茸包又熱又脆又好重蒜茸味。roast shank of lamb ($185): today\'s special先咁平,隻羊好淋,外面包左塊巴拿馬火腿,好鬼鹹,另外mashed potato + cream spinach 都唔錯wagyu beef carpaccio ($95): 生牛肉+ 芝士,哩個考師傅刀法,因塊牛肉片真係片到將紙咁薄wooloo-mooloo salad ($85): d汁好酸,唔係人人接受到.order 兩杯drinks, 不太outstanding. 不值一提望下次試steak 會有surprise
