哈哈，無錯，Birthday Message上所寫的Sister Pooh就是我，此稱呼的由來是因為我有個很喜歡Pooh Pooh的妹妹。男友最怕買蛋糕比我，因為他完全不懂分辨蛋糕好吃與否，見OR網友對Vanilla充滿讚賞，於是便決定買了這個Dark Chocolate Truffle Cake替我在家裡和屋企人慶祝。這黑朱古力蛋糕口感非常rich，味道一點也不甜，散發着濃濃的可可味。面層的黑朱古力漿非常實淨，質地有如美式蛋糕上的icing，但味絕不artificial，那旋風型的朱古力裝斾食落直頭和一粒chocolate truffle無分別。要彈的是中間的sponge cake不夠鬆軟，令整件蛋糕口感偏硬。個人還是prefer精緻輕型，多於濃厚結實的蛋糕。Vanilla的Truffle Cake，不是不好，只是並非我杯茶已而。

A wonderful little take-away shop for homemade, British-style desserts. Definitely recommend the lemon meringue (soft creamy peaks) and chocolate truffle (high qualitiy dark choc). For tiramisu lovers, do also try the takeaway version from Via Quadronno in central.

今天好有誠意跑來買lunch,今次終於可以試吓d鹹點喇1)banana loaf:本來想買banana walnut muffin,可惜sold out,所以banana loaf都照殺。是1片片獨立cut cake,呈深啡色(有d怪)因一般是黃黃綠綠的顏色。入口軟身,唔太甜,不錯2)fish pie:因家中無焗爐又無微波爐,食的時候已涼咗,質感實咗(無辦法)。是厚薯蓉top,中間有魚,近底部份有菠菜。味道清清哋,無嘜魚味,好薯蓉吓,唔錯3)sherperd pie:即內有羊肉,又是厚薯蓉top,中層有免治羊肉+tomato sauce,聞說有+curry,好羊,味濃好多。這個薯蓉就無fish pie咁實,都唔錯4)tiramisu:正如網友人所言,好好味。mascarpone嗰層唔"稀"唔"杰",質感適中,又滑。三"扒"兩"砵"下,好快食晒,有d意猶未盡前後幫襯咗3次先試晒想食嘅嘢,難得喺每款水準有番咁上下,有d大功告成之感

上星期日與幾位朋友來個中上環之旅，本想到勝香園，但勝香園逢星期日休息，便改往Vanilla吃甜品。之前見Vanilla食評很好，個個都俾笑臉，試過後發現果然很好味，而且不太甜5個女仔每人點一款share，開動前先安排Travel Toys與甜品來個大合照，左起：White Chocolate Cheese Cake $28 白朱古力碎片均勻分佈在芝士蛋糕內，芝士味很濃但兩者味道很夾Lemon Merinque $15外型似箭豬好可愛，甜甜mousse配上酸酸的檸檬tart有中和作用(但個人認為mousse太甜)Strawberry Mille Feuille $25 無懈可擊的吉士，幼滑不太甜，一個字- 正Chocolate Truffle $25果然係Vanilla招牌甜品，朱古力味濃，truffle很滑，口感很melty kissApple Crumble $15期望過大...crumble、蘋果及肉桂味淡淡的，誰也搶不了誰的風頭，撞出來的味道平平無奇外帶Tiramisu與家人分享，個個讚口不絶，mascapone打得很滑，Vanilla版本沒有lady finger與咖啡酒，取代

(6/1/07)如果唔係常來半山,摩羅廟街真係幾隔薛,不過好野,幾遠都吸引到人來。先來一兜Tiramisu,Mascarpone唔太稀,打得好滑,底層不是angel finger,似係朱古力蛋糕碎,沒有加rum酒。男友唔"好"甜品,都大讚,未食過咁好食的Tiramisu,而我就覺得無酒味,爭D啦。雜誌介紹之一的Chocolate Expresso Tart,好濃好濃Expresso味,卻沒蓋過朱古力味,深黑啡色的消化餅撻底,鬆化與"cake"混合,增加口感。Mango Brownie,咁特別既配搭,要買件返家做「手信」。雖然芒果唔多,配角形式出埸,Brownie朱古力味濃濃,質地軟軟o地唔太實,好新鮮呀!呢度既野一D都唔商業味,真材實料,@$25,是合理價錢。p.s.1月1,2,8日休息,平日7:00-20:30,算是長時間給有心人來買好野呀!

今次再試別的1)lemon meringue: 外形似刺手的雪山,上層是類似蛋白狀打到好高的cream,微甜。下層便是lemon custard filling,味道好似是檸檬得力素糖中心的糖粉,既酸且甜,tart皮是薄身種。食得甜的朋友會arm d2)strawberry mille feuille: 因友人未試過,所以今次encore,一致好評。不過如上次所言,面層奶油好甜,其一友人把之挑起3)brownie :好濃郁朱古力味,蛋糕質感軟,配合近邊位的chocolate truffle物體,整體放入口,有融化的感覺,一致大讚。繼上次的chocolate truffle cake後,另一佳作4)mini assorted muffin: 是5小個雜味muffin,有朱古力,香蕉同提子乾味。1千零1個香蕉味,比友人食,她說好味;我選了朱古力,因食過brownie,即刻覺得這個唔夠濃,一般喇5)tomato mushroom tart: 因當晚party還有其他食物,所以我隔日當早餐,沒有翻熱,酥皮還好,推算熱食更佳

好在網友提示在堅道再上(即按行人電梯,太子台上1條街),否則都幾難搵。今天買了3件試吓1)chocolate truffle:好濃郁朱古力味,質感好似truffle的filling,不似食緊cake。底配好薄的朱古力sponge cake。以$25/件嚟講,有此質素真喺好掂!2)strawberry mille feulli:面層是奶油cream,頗甜，故不建議逐層嚟食(好似我個case,奶油cream個層就甜死我,之後幾層的酥皮就淡d)中間的custard cream滑,少甜,不錯3)lemon cheesecake(其實想買baked cheesecake):質感不是實,medium soft。芝士味和檸檬味好平均,不錯重點喺以$25的價錢,有這質素,好抵。見到附近住客買cottage pie,下次試
