出得去五星食肆,錢自然其次, 但我真係未試過睇勻成個 A La Carte menu 都揀唔落手!

勉勉強強,頭盤點咗個Foie Gra Parfait. 完全無驚喜! 大路多士-sized pate 一塊,冇煮功、冇food styling,麥包都唔似係Self-made,

Main Course, 真經典, 小弟真係揀無可揀, 個別如羊膝,一定要三人份, 最後局住叫Fish & Chips - Consistent 地冇food styling、冇presentation、冇色、冇香、兼夾冇味. Portion 就認真大而無當,保證食剩.

侍應, 不論外型、制服、談吐、禮貌....直逼業餘水平。一疑似部長物體,兩番[催迫]我們是否要甜品,態度似Bouncer多啲.

我是無甜品不歡的人, 最想食嗰樣,竟然又話冇, 你話有幾高級??

開咗一支半 Domain Magellan 嘅 RED,加埋原本係finale 但其實唔應該試嘅咖啡, 埋單兩人盛惠$1,500 大鉠.

When I think about dining, I will regard it as an experience more than only food & beverages. The Pawn is certainly a choice because of its historical status in HK, beautiful scenery, comfortable seats and excellent services. We booked this venue to organize a cocktail party & buffer dinner. The Pawn is certainly a choice because of its historical status in HK, beautiful scenery, comfortable seats and excellent services.

We booked this venue to organize a cocktail party & buffer dinner. The food are so lovely. I love especially those canopies, including prawn toast, fish & chips in cup, mince pork tart...who can forget this great experience?

We played crazily till 4am. The waiters are cute and interesting who chat with us till the end! I will organize another party there in the future!

After reading people's comments on this place, it seems there are 2 very different kinds of experiences: great service with delectable food, and horrible service with at best average food.... why?!Well, after being there for a few times, i notice that most of the crowd are well-heeled westerners, or westernised back-from-overseas chinese looking people... and me being the latter, and going with a guy from the former category... the service wasn't bad at all, though it can definitely be improved

Well, after being there for a few times, i notice that most of the crowd are well-heeled westerners, or westernised back-from-overseas chinese looking people... and me being the latter, and going with a guy from the former category... the service wasn't bad at all, though it can definitely be improved upon... like, offering second round of bread but never bringing it (you can just not offer, or wait till i ask you for more).... they only have one kind of brown bread, but the bread was lovely...

the food was decent, i think fresh would be the first word that comes to mind, as to whether the temperature and taste of it, i think most people might beg to differ that i found my salad at room temperature with a luke warm salmon... my friend's duck breast seemed decent, and the sauce was quite nice. The bottle of wine was nice too, except i was surprised at the prices... shouldn't the alcohol tax-free concession be benefitting customers too?!

Afterwards we went downstairs for a drink... it was rather empty on a weekday night, so we had a nice table, comfy swivel chairs and a quiet conversation.... if you want some tips, be friendly to the waiters (if you're a girl especially)... i ended up having 4 drinks on the house, and 2 cinema tickets that some other customer didn't want but the waiter couldn't go see the movie himself....

Went there after the movie 'Batman"...the two of us ordered "Fish and Chips" and their recommanded dish " Duck breast". The fish and chips was at standard, but the duck was bad, the service was terrible, no meet and greet, no smile, no checking on food nor refill of drinks.....I don't know if it' too late at night or what, but they say their service hour was until 2am. When they finally decided to take you in, they just sent you to an elevator, where you have to walk yourself in and figure out which floor to go to, plus they dun care who you are, there were no greetings nor thank you before and after the meal. Honestly speaking wouldn't want to return with that kind of service. The atmosphere and decoration was nice, but the price of the food and food quality....was only okay.

We didn't choose any starter and only order main and dessert. My main dish is Sea Bass and what I expected is a Sea Bass filet. Surprisingly when my course served, it was the whole fish with head and tail and bones (my god!). Usually when you order dishes from a Western restaurant you didn't expect they serve the whole fish like Chinese style, The fish has many small bones that is very difficult to eat!!! Another thing is the fish is WARM.. not hot!!!! I hate eating warm dish and looks like the fish is being girlled and hold for a while before serving.

For dessert, I have the apple tart which is WARM again, not hot. How come!

Don't think I'll come back again!!

So we finally got someone's attention at 13:10. He said he'd be back. Which turned out he would send someone else back. When this someone else came, he asked if we wanted to order (what do you think Einstein?). Oh, then he would have to get someone ELSE!

Fine, so we finally got our orders in at 13:15. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Then we got impatient, and asked. And then waited some more . And asked again. "Where's our food?" asked my company. "It's coming," answered the waiter. "ARE YOU $*#&$*(#& BRINGING IT OVER FROM $)#(*@)#*% SHEUNG WAN?!" said the look on my face.

The food came at 13:45. Exactly 1 hour after we sat down, and 15 minutes before our lunches were to end. I didn't have no Prada bag. I ain't wearing a fancy schmancy diamond Cartier watch. I didn't look like I just came out of a 2-hour makeover at my favourite salon. I wonder how they possible could have thought I am a Tai Tai with a 3-hour lunch schedule?

Having said all that, the rest of the restaurant doesn't make up for the poor service at all. The menu was "English" (so said one of the waiters.) I don't know if it was or not, but my friend and I had serious problems understanding it and ordering from it. *A note to the owners -- I see you have "Faggot" on your menu, which (I found out afterwards) you think means some sort of meatball. I'm sorry to inform you that for ALL OTHER people -- which right now includes myself, my friend, a few other friends and co-workers (whom I subsequently asked) -- it means the other and more well-known understanding of the word. And I ain't having that for lunch. In the words of another commentator from an alternate review source: "This is the sort of menu you would create if you had read about English food but never actually been to England." (I hear those discounted HKG-LHR airfares with Air New Zealand are still on)

In the end, I ordered fish and chips -- which is the only thing on the menu I know would not come with any surprises (and frankly, there weren't any surprises), and my friend ordered some other broiled fish that was equally uninspiring.

The balcony seats -- which looked fantastic from the outside -- did not do much to improve the dining experience. It was a bit "warm", which was to be expected; but we were constantly disturbed by blaring horns or cars/trucks roaring by down on Johnston Road. It'd be quieter sitting on one of the old Kai Tak runways.

A massive disappointment!

We just entered into this building with curiosity and found out it's a dining place.1st and 3rd floor was called living room and roof garden and we had our lunch at 2nd floor - Dining room~The environment was cozy and the receptionist was quite nice. Half of the customers were foreigners. We 2 walk-in guests were lucky to have balcony seats. About the food, the quality was not as good as I expected. My great impression was the mash potato. It's soooo creamy~~~

I've been eyeing this place ever since they had their hoarding up. Now that they're up and running, The Pawn has been getting loads of media attention. My friends and I decided to try it out. Getting a reservation was a mission in itself. They only take bookings for the 2/F. The menu presented alot of British favs like fish and chips, roast turbot, roast bone marrow, eton mess,etc. The staff said their menu changes daily to serve the freshest possible dishes. The menu presented alot of British favs like fish and chips, roast turbot, roast bone marrow, eton mess,etc. The staff said their menu changes daily to serve the freshest possible dishes. It's really heartwarming to see some restaurants still being honest about the food they serve. Take my advice, what ever you do, the fish and chips is a must!

After dinner, we had drinks at their 1/F bar, think they call it "Living Room". The ambience was great and the drinks were reasonably price too. They also offer a simplified menu of modern British favs. I saw someone next to me had the most delicious thing ever! I'll be returning to try that out.

Although The Pawn is still new, it lived up to my expectations. And surely, more success will come its way. The staff were knowledgeble and recommended the right dishes. The food was good. The ambience made me feel so comfortable. It had all the right touches without looking like it was trying hard to impress. My dinner experience was one of a kind. I'm sure many will share my sentiments once they've visited the place.

went last night first time. love everything about it: food, decor, service, atmosphere.very hard to find good british food anywhere. this is as good as it gets, even better than a lot of restaurants i tried in london. menu changes every day so you can sure find dishes you like each time you visit.

Decided to go for a drink in the "city hotspot" on a friday night around 10pm. Luckily secured a indoor table for 7 (was told that no reservation is allowed for bar area). Originally hoped to sit outdoors, the interior was actually comfortable & nice despite the rather empty decorations & the staff's moving around.Drink list is comprehensive while the $ is reasonable. The staff is very willing to help out with the selection for our bottle of red & white. Overall a great satisfaction for the

Drink list is comprehensive while the $ is reasonable. The staff is very willing to help out with the selection for our bottle of red & white. Overall a great satisfaction for the drinks there.

However, once my friend & I popped upstairs to have a look at the restaurant, we were sort of starred at & made us feel uneasy. Seemingly the restaurant staff needs to improve on their friendliness.

樓宇前身係檔鋪,此餐廳亦因此命名. 內裡裝修英式別緻, 但枱與枱之間算有點窄,不大舒服. 由於為城中近期至hip,所以常滿. 當晚亦見不少名人靚人. 可惜食物水準參差, 服務水準亦幼緻, 絕對須要改進. 總括一句, 一試無妨,但不要抱太大期望.

i went over to celebrate birthday but it ruined my day.............starter:we ordered ham hock salad and rare beef salad (~$100 each), both tastes ok and were done just right.main course:"calves liver, mash, bacon, sauage and tomato" ($185) - just like a breakfast combo right?! it looked totally burn-out when served, totally dark in color!! all the food was overcooked, esp. the bacon which i couldn't even chew at all!! we told the waiter that the dish was overdone, but she just stood and looke

very pricy restaurant for such food quality and service. i can get lots of better option for dining at ~$500/person. not recommend at all.
