I have come here regularly over the last 2 years and love it. It’s basic 2 eggs with sides is very reasonably priced and I love all day breakfast! The omelettes and eggs Benedict are also great but cost more. I have always found the service good, although a few times they have tried to seat us next to the only other tables in the place occupied, but if you ask you can chose anywhere. The only thing they aren’t great at is drinks – I don’t drink really care about coffee so for me not a problem, but they have a lot of cocktails but don’t really seem to know what’s in them.
Overall a great chilled out place, depending on the time of day it could be full of office workers, international school brats or drunk people, but still good.

第二次光顧,晚上吃早餐,實在很特別。是次order: Eggs Houssard (牛肉) - 肉類成份過多, too heavy, 但味道OKEggs Florentine (菠菜, 煙肉) - 煙肉, 再加菠菜中和肉性 GOODEggs Maharaja (青椒, 蕃茄, 咖喱)遺憾飲品太精緻~

做法與 Eggs Oscar 不同的,是用煙肉和菠菜代替露筍和蝦,煙肉一般,但菠菜像煮過籠,或是擺放得太久,很老,洋蔥炒薯有些頗硬,生果沙律,有些見生鏽,蘋果汁同樣無意見。

煎蛋配炒白菌,多士,洋蔥炒薯和番茄湯,Cranberry juice
要的是反蛋,無煎穿,炒白菌,可口,番茄湯太濃,像喝罐頭茄羔加水,多士無跟牛油。

漢堡包,加多塊肉餅,炒菌,加一杯咖啡
漢堡包頗巨型,加上要雙份肉餅,更是巨大無比,配有新鮮番茄,洋蔥和生菜,肉餅雖是巨大,惟大而無當,有些肉味,無肉汁,肉質很差,因吃到肉內有很多打碎的筋,硬得不能下咽,吐得整碟都是,番茄,洋蔥和生菜則很新鮮,炒菌加了調味,有點辣,但也過得去,麵包一般。咖啡是整壺上的,任飲,若與即溶 UCC 咖啡相比,我寧選即溶咖啡,喝了半杯已投降,還要收三十大元!

吃了這一頓,還有剩兩張,怎算好?

Lunch in The Flying Pan was depressing. I had looked at the menu in Central before, but decided it was too expensive and headed elsewhere. I should have done the same this time. But needing a quick meal, I decided to stick things out.Sunk in one of the leather chairs, I scrolled through the menu and was struck again by how expensive everything was. Even the most basic omelettes were over sixty dollars. Surely frying a couple of eggs in a pan couldn’t produce anything that amazing that it warrant

Sunk in one of the leather chairs, I scrolled through the menu and was struck again by how expensive everything was. Even the most basic omelettes were over sixty dollars. Surely frying a couple of eggs in a pan couldn’t produce anything that amazing that it warranted this kind of price? The fried breakfasts were even more, mostly topping the hundred mark and reaching up to the same kind of prices you’d pay for finely cooked French food elsewhere.

I was loathe to spend more than about fifty dollars on lunch and I really needed a coffee as well, so I searched onwards, determined to find something cheaper. A burger for HK$37 looked promising, but then I realised I’d need to order a whole load of extra ingredients to make it even vaguely interesting. Finally I settled reluctantly for a breakfast burrito. At big wrap stuffed with beans and rice and cheese could be pretty good, I naively persuaded myself.

“The breakfast burrito is just eggs and beans,” the Filipino waitress said when I ordered. “You want to get some bacon or something to go with that?”

It’s always a bad sign when the waitress is telling you openly about the limitations of the restaurant’s food. I should probably have backed out at this point. But a little like George Bush in Afghanistan, I was strangely determined to press recklessly onwards without heeding how much damage I was doing.

Coffee has been the main reason I came here, so I hoped this would at least be decent. But the only variety on offer was a ‘bottomless’ pot of drip coffee. At $30, this cost more than the best coffee in most of Hong Kong’s other cafes. Basically I was going to pay extra for the chance to drink unlimited amounts of coffee that would probably turn out to be so watery and weak I’d only want half a cup. I ordered it and felt my heart sinking.

The burrito came quickly. I’d love to say this was testament to the chef’s dexterity for Mexican cooking, but more likely it was credit to the power of the microwave. It was barely bigger than a Mars bar. Its wrap was reasonably crisp, but inside there was just a mixed up past of canned beans, rubbery egg and plastic cheese which stretched with each bite. None of it really tasted of anything much at all. It arguably had more flavour than the coffee, though, which tasted like somebody had taken a regular cup of instant coffee and just diluted it five or six times. There was none of that bracing, bitter taste of really strong dark coffee that I had been craving all morning.

I grimaced and sat back in my chair, feeling truly miserable as I listened to the hardcore club music pounding out of the restaurants many speakers. Staffed entirely by Fillipino’s, filled with lost looking gwei-los, and blaring these tunes, The Flying Pan feels very like the different Wan Chai nightclubs that surround it. But in the middle of the day on a Saturday, this might not be what you’re really looking for while you eat lunch.

There are reasons to go to The Flying Pan. If you’re a tourist who gets lost if you stray more than a hundred yards from your hotel, or if you’re desperate for something to eat at five in the morning after stumbling out of the bars in Wan Chai, then perhaps you’d consider it. In these situations, you won’t mind paying stupidly high prices for plastic food and impotent coffee. Otherwise its probably best to stay away.

呢個就勁豐富. 有2塊多士 (但被cut成4個 "半塊" 多士咁上). 仲要有搽牛油! 可惜放耐左就唔好味. 有d野真係要熱食先得~ 同埋佢每張台都有一罐strawberry jam, 想搽jam都得. d雞蛋我嫌佢炒得唔夠香, 不過顏色好靚. bacon唔 "銀", 好易咬. baked beans冇乜special, 都係咁囉~至於個tomato同mushroom我就覺得佢油左dd. 落得太多油煮, 唔多good. 但整體黎講都唔錯 (尤其係個賣相!). 都好味既~

3 little pigs
呢個係omelette. 內有ham, sausage, 同mushroom. 炒得好靚, 感覺上唔多油. 呢個一樣有2塊多士. 但呢個就有2個side dishes可以選擇. 朋友要左garden salad (有蕃茄, 有青椒, 有生菜, 同埋沙律醬) 同埋fruits (有提子, 蘋果, kiwi, 同埋唔記得咯~ 有橙汁浸泡住呢d生果.). 好鬼健康~

eggs norwegian
即係將d poached eggs放係一片english muffin上面, 但中間有塊salmon係到. 仲有baked beans同tomato. 朋友話其實唔好睇佢好似好少食物, 其實好 "漏". 佢都食唔完.

由於冇人, 同埋佢開24小時, 所以唔會有人趕我地走. 其實我見到隔離台有人仲自備啤牌玩tim. 哈哈哈哈. 感覺真係好relax. 幾正丫~

傾完一輪, 我地又可以食desserts:
banana royal
本身唔知係乜, 所以就叫個黎睇下. 原來係一個vanilla ice cream有cream有d香蕉係到. 上面仲好似有caramel既syrup. 其實都幾普通. 唔係特別好味~
chocolate sundae
呢個就係人都知係乜. 不過估唔到佢俾咁多chocolate syrup同cream. 呢個就唔錯. 其實d香蕉 (來自個banana royal) 同d chocolate syrup好夾~ 好味!
btw, 2個雪榚既敗筆:
個玻璃器皿太熱, 所以佢所盛載既雪榚黎到我地面前都已經熔左一半. 唉, 咁個賣相咪唔多好囉~ 其實佢應該雪一雪又或者將呢d器皿先放係room temp, 咁d雪榚先冇熔得咁快.

總括黎講, 呢餐都算係好味. 環境唔錯, 服務一般. 但樓下同附近既酒吧就有d... anyways... 好在唔多人, 又可以坐好耐. 點玩都得. 佢個menu又有咁多款, 幾得意丫, 下次會再去試下其他食物~

btw, 如果佢有薯餅就好喇...


同埋我唔知呢餐叫dinner好丫定breakfast好. 定係brunch? brunner? 好亂好亂... this is sooo confusing!

After 2 years in Australia, eating english breakfast on the weekend had become a duty. When i found The Flying Pan i was really happy to find western style breakfasts.The food is not exquisite, but it's still good. If you are really hungry you can go for the Monster Pan 4x4x4x4x4.The juices are not that good, real fresh juices would be a plus.The eggs can be cooked in 5 different ways, i personnaly like them poached.For the sides, you can never be wrong with the traditionnal baked beans (Heinz i

I quite like the 70's look of the place, and love the big armchairs ! The owner is really nice and will come and discuss a bit if you are alone.

The place is also opened 24/7, yet i never tried this place at 3 in the morning

出去飲完野,有少少餓,茶記又太濃味,就去24小時既早餐店試下先~雖然係半夜三更,但都有坐滿左半個場,D侍應好恩勤,會同我介紹有咩岩,因為唔想食太多野,就要左個COMOB同人SHARE,我鍾意APPLE既所以要左SPICE APPLE同SCRABLE EGG,配BACON同TOAST仲有ORANGE JUICE。個SPICE APPLE一來到已經覺得香,不過入口既溫度有少少怪,似係比人放涼左咁囉... .... 始終有香料既熱返D會仲香~ 但係個甜度岩岩好,APPLE煮得爽脆得宜,一口一件,SIZE PERFECT呀!SCRABLE EGG... .. 我覺得乾身左少少,同埋唔夠滑,早知係咁要SUNNY SIDE UP配TOAST有蛋汁開心D~ORANGE JUICE唔講以為係比小朋友飲,超細杯....不過唔係橙水都OK既~BACON無試到因為已經好飽~不過見到有好多唔同既蛋類下次有精神再來試下先~

I don't think I can find an item on their menu I do not like.My usual item is the eggs benedict.However this time, I felt like trying the Ranchero eggs mexican style with refried beans, cheese, sour cream, tomato salsa.The whole thing was good, the cheese that was on it was cheddar cheese, and there was lots of potato slices on it too, each taste was sensational packed with sour cream, salsa, cheese, refried beans etc.I also ordered extra black pudding too, and luckily the oil today was fresh,

The whole thing was good, the cheese that was on it was cheddar cheese, and there was lots of potato slices on it too, each taste was sensational packed with sour cream, salsa, cheese, refried beans etc.

I also ordered extra black pudding too, and luckily the oil today was fresh, so the black pudding was just right, not to over cooked, and it didnt have an oil odour taste either.

以前返工經常經過見到餐廳窗門貼住果個煎蛋公仔已經好想試終於呢日約左朋友 又唔知食咩好 就上去試試星期五晚上 七點零入到去只係得三枱客我地兩個女仔都可以坐大卡位 諗左好耐終於落單叫左個Eggs Norwegian 好好味 尤其係果D荷蘭汁朋友叫左Eggs Puerto Rico...溝埋有D似 PIZZA味 都唔錯驚喜既係個伴菜 薯仔 好香口杯餐飲如果唔加大真係細左D 冇咩特別我地食左成個鍾先食得晒成份 其實都幾飽滯無論如何 好滿足 值得再黎

All are quite good! We 3 shared all the food even the dishes are not too big for girls for lunch. However, the toast was really dry to swallow, therefore, we need to add many strawberry, blueberry and some other jam on the toast. Anyway, you can try if you have not visited this restaurant yet.

突然想食一個特別的午餐,友人推薦這裡,是在灣仔一大廈的三樓。正午來到座,大把位,舉頭一望,是明珠台,即外籍人士居多,招呼的也是菲籍人,叫菜要用英文。打開菜牌,“噢!”全是火腿煎蛋的早餐。你沒有聽錯,是廿四小時全天候的早餐,據說在很美國很興,你想食早餐,廿四小時都有。哇塞!午餐、晚餐,全都吃早餐,暈!香港人沒有這個習慣吧。不管,來到了叫了一個“英國飛起”(British Fly up),有火腿煎雙蛋、三蛋,黑布甸,煙肉,白多士、麥多士,一來就是四塊多士,朋友也選了egg benedict。應該是能吃得很飽,但一下子來四塊多士,似乎太寡,舉頭四看,女士們都剩下三塊不吃,有點浪費了。奶茶咖啡很一般,無驚喜。三扒兩撥吃完,埋單一個餐90元,餐不包茶咖。午餐是不貴,但當早餐及其質量就貴了點。下次都是改地方了。

三扒兩撥吃完,埋單一個餐90元,餐不包茶咖。
午餐是不貴,但當早餐及其質量就貴了點。

想食好久因為很愛食早餐!更愛蛋!食唱通k前的晚餐!egg benedict,d蛋漿好多好多!muffin松軟熱辣,ham好味,成件事好正好正!the flying pan,大大碟!toast都有4塊,有一塊女友分比我,我點住egg benedict的蛋漿食,正!煙肉,ham等都ok,scrambled egg好好食!a total of 4 sides,分別是salad(ok),fruit(個人麻麻),煎薯片(正!!!)番茄湯(好濃!!)cranberry juice is better than mango juice有好多種方法整蛋你食,由你揀!會再去!4X4X4 monster好吸引!

他們的 Menu 總是讓人花多眼亂但就是愛上它們百吃不厭...而且Flying Pan 與藝術中心和演藝學院差不多一橋之隔確是看畫劇前開飯的好地方我們二人分別點了: Eggs Norwegian with Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict with Grilled Ham Side Dish:蕃茄湯、茄汁焗豆 和 煎薯片今次我的班尼迪蛋略嫌熟了一點因為切開了只見少量蛋黃流出來而煙燻三文魚亦鹹了多少不過整體是可以接受,十分好味...至於Side Dish 方面很想介紹他們的蕃茄湯其實可形容為“蕃茄蓉”,因為味道很豐富還很稠在湯面上只加上小量香草,十分別緻!建議加入少許鹽和葫椒味道更好...而茄汁焗豆方面,則保持一般罐頭食品風味...不得不提的亦是希望他們改善的就是他們跟餐的免費果汁飲品無論那一種果汁,味道總是怪怪的即使較平凡的 Orange Juicy,味道都不是香港人所熟悉的我嚐過 Apple、Orange、Grapefruit 和 Lemonade可能他們都是採用外國進口貨只好怪我們都未能適應這種味道...如果他們跟餐的免費飲品可以包括 Coffee or Te

今次我的班尼迪蛋略嫌熟了一點

而煙燻三文魚亦鹹了多少
不過整體是可以接受,十分好味...

至於Side Dish 方面很想介紹他們的蕃茄湯
其實可形容為“蕃茄蓉”,因為味道很豐富還很稠
在湯面上只加上小量香草,十分別緻!
建議加入少許鹽和葫椒味道更好...
而茄汁焗豆方面,則保持一般罐頭食品風味...

不得不提的亦是希望他們改善的
就是他們跟餐的免費果汁飲品
無論那一種果汁,味道總是怪怪的
即使較平凡的 Orange Juicy,味道都不是香港人所熟悉的
我嚐過 Apple、Orange、Grapefruit 和 Lemonade
可能他們都是採用外國進口貨
只好怪我們都未能適應這種味道...
如果他們跟餐的免費飲品可以包括 Coffee or Tea 就可以加分了!
食物以外
.在下午兩時許入座,差不多全店滿座,當然外國食客居多
.之前一次晚上入座,店內設大形 Screen & Projector 播放球賽
.店內不停播放流行歌曲(英語),即使一人用餐也不愁寂寞
.店內環境寬敞舒適,設有大量沙發座位和足夠 8人 (亞洲人) 或 6人 (西方人) 的卡位
.店員以菲律賓和尼泊爾人為主,能操流利英語
.落地玻璃,使店內開揚光猛,街景一覽無遺
注意
.我們要求店員多給我們一點 Hollandaise Sauce,他很慷慨給我們用小碗承滿一碗。
 到結賬時在完全沒有提示下我們才發現原來多Charge $5,這點食家們須注意的……

It was my 2nd time here and probably will be the LAST time too!I was trying to get a relaxing brunch on a Sunday. I brought a book with me too 'cos I expected to read a bit while enjoying the brunch.I ordered "Egg Sardou" which is like the Egg Benedict style with antichoke and spinach. And I found few slices of red pepper too. The eggs were the best part, but the spinach was soooooooooooooo chewy. I could hardly tear them apart. The taste of the red pepper was even WORSE! I was trying to get a relaxing brunch on a Sunday. I brought a book with me too 'cos I expected to read a bit while enjoying the brunch.

I ordered "Egg Sardou" which is like the Egg Benedict style with antichoke and spinach. And I found few slices of red pepper too. The
eggs were the best part, but the spinach was soooooooooooooo chewy.
I could hardly tear them apart. The taste of the red pepper was even WORSE!
The "sour" taste of the red pepper tasted like rotten food
with that combination. ... meanwhile the waitresses were cleaning the table (next to mine) with a cart which was filled with dirty dishes.
Oh my goodness... I almost vomited.

As requested, the waitress refilled my coffee... though reluctantly. So I enjoyed my refills while finishing up the reading. Suddenly the waitress put a bill on my table (which I didn't even ask for at that time). So I just ignored the bill and kept enjoying my coffee and reading. Then I started to hear lots of foreign languages spoken by the non-local waitresses. I then felt weird with the atmosphere so I paid the bill and was willing to leave. After I signed the slip, the waitresses talked "blar blar blar" again. probably saying "I'm finally leaving and freeing up the seat." But hey!! I'm paying an extra 10% service charge for taking up the seats (though their service didn't really deserve it).

a..n..n..o..y...i..n..g and uncomfortable were my experience at this restaurant. Food was ok... depends on what you order.

今日lunch 去左 the flying pan 試下佢地整既american breakfast 整得似唔似. 上到去覺得有少少似上左旺角果d café咁, decoration 好簡單 (如果咁都算有decoration 既話). d staff 好似個個都係南亞人, 抬抬都有客而佢地好似唔係好夠人手咁. 睇完個menu (都不用點看, 之前online 都睇熟晒 XD) 我叫左個Rancheros eggs muchos … muchos 姐係比Rancheros eggs 多幾件avocado (muchos 在 Spanish 姐係好多咁解). 做法係有個tortilla 喺bottom, 再加refried beans (yummy!), potatoes, cheese, salsa, sour cream, jalapeno peppers, 當然仲有eggs 啦 (我要左soft scramble. ) 都幾啱味, 如果多點refried beans 仲好! (不過我諗refried beans 一般中國人係唔會中意食.)我家姐叫左 2 eggs with corn

我家姐叫左 2 eggs with corned beef hash, 加左件 pancake, 再加多件 challah bread french toast! 不過佢都俾左 d hash 同半個french toast 我既. 個 hash 好味, 同美國果d can 開出來既一樣咁好味! 其實我覺得corned beef hash 一定要係can果d先好味, homemade雖然聽落好似好d 但係係做唔出果種味度出來! 個pancake 我食左一啖, 都幾得. 個french toast … 嘩, 估唔到香港都可以搵到d猶太人常食既challah bread! 在 ny 都成日見d restaurant 用來做 french toast, 依度都做得幾好味.

Overall 來說 flying pan 都幾啱我吃, 尤其是當我想食d American 野. 不過d野唔算平. 下次有 hash cravings 先再去, 再要個bagel 睇下佢好唔好味先得!
