Mostly trying its galettes and pasta for lunch, I got a taste of its other a la carte dishes which were equally satiating; though, galettes remain my love and together with desserts, bringing me back here for sure.

To my surprise, it should be the busiest eatery along the street on the weekday night of my visit. As a norm for most people working around this area, we don't usually pick dinner venue nearby, for our mood tending to struggle and escape from workplace or its neighbourhood asap after work. It truly came to my surprise that the bistro was 90% full at 8.30pm of my weekday visit, and I would have to wait to be seated if I didn't come earlier. Without busy traffic and passers-by sprinting around, warm vibes by dim and cosy lighting of the restaurant made a stark contrast to the quiet alley.

Decking out in soft colours and warm woods, the bistro is cosy like home, shedding soft yellow lights onto tables but not directly onto our heads. Permeated with conversational vibes, it is simply a rustic bistro that brings a laid-back french fare with unpretentious comfort food.

I won't normally flip the a la carte menu for my lunch options. The menu (in details at the end of review) is exuberant to include most that would appear in casual french dining scene that you can imagine. As light as salad and as heavy as main courses like pasta and mussels pot, the detailed menu is able to satisfy most, if not all, no matter one is full or starving.

While waiting for my bestie to arrive, I warmed myself up with a hot fruit tea with honey. Simply a divine zesty goodness ran down my throat to give an instant energy boost and relaxation, the hot lemongrass tea was soothing especially on cold days. What surprised me were the sweetened pineapple cubes at the bottom, which, together with the lotus biscuit, brought unpretentious sweetness that went so well with honey and tea.

As a loyal fan of superfood like quinoa, a salad with equally healthy salmon slices is not to be missed. Kicking start the dinner with such a clean salad is a no-brainer. Filled with two pieces of pita-like bread, a substantial amount of leafy greens, quinoa, beans and cheese were well-mixed to give a flavourful spoon of healthy food.

We kept munching on spoon by spoon, but later found out that the best way to finish off the salmon was to put them on the bread alongside cheese slices in the bowl. Fresh salmon instead of smoked salmon was used and avoided the briny, and very often, overpowered salty flavour that may potentially ruin the supposed-to-be-clean salad.

Not feeling like craving for beef or pork, we picked another healthy meaty option - grilled salmon fillet. It may not be the best dish throughout the meal mainly because of its price, but its doneness and flavour was just right and brought us satisfaction in palate. We do hope that its portion can be bigger, at least with more spinach and cherry tomatoes to fill us up as a main course. Despite room of improvement to the portion, the fillet was grilled just right, being succulent inside underneath the crispy skin in golden, appealing colour.

Mussel pot is one of my favourites in terms of conversational yet not heavily seasoned main course. This didn't let us down, with well-expected portion of mussels filling up the pot. Drizzles of herbs and onions made a mouthful of mussels even more flavourful.

This kind of mussels (perhaps blue mussels?) used in mussel pots aren't usually big, but they are scrumptious and absorb the wine sauce to its maximum. As for the fries, dipping them into salad dressing is fine, but we both prefer white wine sauce that could only be seen after finishing off over half a pot of mussels. However, there wasn't much white wine sauce left which made dipping quite difficult. Other than the lack of white wine sauce, this was an unbeatable, decadent main course.

How can I possibly leave here without any galette or crepe? Galettes here are always made to perfection, not carrying the nearly-roasted smell which often appear on galettes that are too thin. We just casually picked one that carried simple ingredients like a sunny egg, cheese and ham, the highlight and the elevated spin being the truffle oil and truffle pieces drizzled above the egg. We were told to break the yolk and spread it evenly to mix with the truffle oil drizzle.

Galettes are with buckwheat fragrant which makes it a delectable main course despite its crepe-like appearance which makes you recall sweetness instead. It was fried just right that it wasn't hard and dry to consume. Quality of galettes is so stable and up to standard that it is the best place in town to serve perfect galettes.

Instead of getting a crepe, the "floating island" caught our attention. I tried this traditional dessert some time ago in Le Cafe Du Mont Blanc in Causeway Bay which is helmed by a french chef. Since then, there is nowhere I can find this valuable rustic dessert which is not conventionally sweet like other french desserts and pastries.

It is not like any other french desserts that are overpowered with sweetness, as the "floating island" like snow is made of meringue poached on crème anglaise. Soft, gentle and airy, filling myself with a mouthful of caramel-garnished meringue was a truly comforting sensation with a smooth finish. Crisp on top further enhanced the texture and boosted nutty flavour on top of mildly sweetened meringue.

In a setting reminiscent of a homey bistro in France, Odelice gave us a pleasant dinner with cosy vibes and simple yet scrumptious french comfort food. It came to our surprise that it remained a popular hangout venue other than weekday lunch time. Must be back for sure other than my working weekdays, at least for its perfect-all-the-time galettes and special desserts like the floating island which makes Odelice a valuable gem in the heart of the city.

It's the last dinner celebration with my bestie in 2016. The food here is super yummy and the service, it's fabulous! We two girls ordered quite a lot-forget about keeping on diet. Just enjoy the delicious French food>< I love the chef's platters the most. The source is amazingly matching with roasted toast. My friend ate lots of mussels, which is quite tasty too. Have to say the service here is so so so good. Makes us feel comfortable and the waiter and waitress come to us now and then

When we ordered Scallop with duck liver (according to Chinese Translation in the menu), we are served with scallop and pama ham. We are told that the menu were changed 10 days ago. However, the English version and the Chinese version are not matched. It was quite disappointing. The service is ok. But not as good as I expected. The Tuna are yummy and very fresh. However, for the beef, it was overcooked and was too old. The duck liver spaghetti was quite good. I love the smell and taste of garlic

Quaint place but that may be the appeal, because most smaller ones now offer the more casual, homey and tastier bites for the customer. Speaking of bites - love the salmon guac tartine - a must try! 這碟上枱幾快手,可麗餅中間的sunny side up egg加分,賣相吸引有驚喜!
切開軟綿綿的,中間有菠菜夾心做法幾仔細。配上餅面新鮮的三文魚,味道不錯!原以為小小簿簿一片好快食完,原來食下食下這塊可麗餅都幾飽肚。食過附近的LX Crepxxxx 覺得鹹點的話好像這間更軟綿綿熱吃更好吃,不過甜點的話我還是愛LX Crepxxxx的。

等這個意粉上枱真的等了十。分。久。

隔離枱點的pasta of the day (今日的是roast duck pasta)等到他的朋友吃完他的那份才到。我們點的這份也是,我已慢慢吃,不過也差不多吃完我朋友點的pasta才上枱。
賣相失望了。看落好像沒有sauce的,吃下去淡淡的,吃不出那黑松露味。稀稀的sauce配上三文魚塊,三文魚份量幾足,不過和意粉味道唔夾。這份意粉索價過百元,完全的overpriced!


Set lunch的湯不錯,好像是carrot soup。沙律就馬馬虎虎不過不失。

店舖地址不太難找,只是當天下雨有點麻煩。本人喜歡小店,但香港鋪租價格昂貴,這樣的小店便買少見少,這間是從朋友口中提及過的,於是今天便前來試試。當天是下午二時還算滿座 等了不久便有位置。Parma Ham Galette 蕎麥餅第一次試法式蕎麥餅, 被他的賣相吸引了。表面的蕃茄新鮮蕎麥餅中間有Mozzarella cheese, 啖啖香濃芝士味,中間還有一隻半熟雞蛋。Parmaham鮮咸,感覺有點像吃pizza, 但比pizza 更有趣味。比利時朱古力朱古力非常香濃, 亦不會太甜, 讓人有幸福的感覺French Ratatouille Fettuccine 寬條麵煙韌醬汁濃郁 ,雞不會鞋口,味道恰到好處Cuppocuno 奶打得很滑, 完全能表現咖啡應有水準,還有黑糖餅在旁迷迭香糖漿浸菠蘿雪糕窩夫糖漿浸過的菠蘿比較甜,雪糕水準很高,奶香很重, 窩夫外脆內軟,配合起來很不錯。

第一次試法式蕎麥餅, 被他的賣相吸引了。
表面的蕃茄新鮮蕎麥餅中間有Mozzarella cheese, 啖啖香濃芝士味,中間還有一隻半熟雞蛋。Parmaham鮮咸,感覺有點像吃pizza, 但比pizza 更有趣味。

選了主菜之後還可以加錢有配菜,有田園沙律($30)、法式薯蓉($40)、烤露荀($40)、炸薯條($40)、黑松露薯條及松露蛋黃醬($50)、普羅旺斯燴雜菜($40)及香草炒雜菌($40)共七款,不過我跟妹一眼看到有黑松露薯條就想都不用想要加這個配菜了。

配菜黑松露薯條及松露蛋黃醬($50)先上,原以為只是伴碟一同送上,殊不知用箕筲另裝起;送上的時候發現份量慷慨,而且新鮮炸起更令我們食指大動;薯條上灑上黑松露末,香氣大增之外亦炸得香脆少油,很有驚喜。另上的松露蛋黃醬更是變奏版,醬奶滑黑松露味香濃,單吃薯條是滋味,蘸上松露強黃醬更是享受,很值得推介吃。

香煎法國鴨肝意粉配雜菌及白酒忌廉汁($145),忌廉汁跟蘑菇同意粉的確永遠都會是prefect match,再加上鴨肝的話,他們帶出的香氣絕對是更上一層樓;厚切鴨肝香煎過後滲著香噴噴脂香流去火箭菜,此時再蘸些忌廉汁,出奇地將菜的草青味完全辟去,以往我都會把火箭菜一條條挑出來,但今次完全把它掃空。而意粉質地頗硬但拌勻忌廉汁進食有口感但卻是正宗西餐廳做的口味,加上雜菌炒得香入口充滿水份,整個意粉都很滿意。

反而主菜是最後一道送上,烤銀鱈魚配烤蕃茄、火箭菜、檸檬牛油汁配普羅旺斯燴雜菜($178),銀鱈魚一向都是比較成本高的食材,但Odelice!的定價也頗為平民;

裝飾簡潔、將每款食材都清楚擺放好,有時候又是一種不錯的擺碟呢;烤銀鱈魚做得皮脆肉嫩,把鱈魚切開,還會有肉汁流出,入口肉質鮮嫩;此時,妹嚷我要試試加上檸檬牛油汁的鱈魚,鱈魚蘸過牛油汁之後,有啖啖檸檬清香,但鮮味一再提升,實在不錯吃。

而配菜普羅旺斯燴雜菜,其實有酸瓜、黃椒、蕃茄等等,味道帶酸,感覺不是我杯茶,所以只有挑起蕃茄來吃。

煎香蕉、焦糖醬、雪糕可麗餅($65),crepe質地軟熟配上經典的焦糖、煎香蕉,味道是無可挑剔,值得一讚是煎香蕉,用的香蕉是剛熟還帶些少硬硬口感,所以即使稍為煎過蕉身都只表面軟腍,內裡仍保持口感,不會完全軟腍到成果蓉一樣,而味道也不會過甜,這點是我最欣賞的。

一整晚的主菜、意粉抑或甜品,妹都有讚無彈,我也慶幸找到一家如意性價高的法式餐廳,不單是今次帶同妹妹到來,她給予不錯的評價,連同我也推介過這家給朋友們來吃,他們也喜歡吃呢,下次準備要帶閨蜜們過來。

而牆壁以一貫門面的軍藍啞色,掛著簡約壁畫,旁邊的小酒櫃,整齊排列了一個個小酒瓶,加上長長的吊燈,瀰漫著濃濃法國的愜意,還帶點淡淡的藝術氣息。

真心餐廳Menu十分吸引,設計大方簡潔,內文圖文並茂,精美圖片更吸引得令人心癢癢得全部點下😂😂

菜式款多不少,lunch/dinner time來的朋友仔更可以點Shared Platter, Mussels, Roasted Spring Chicken or Steak Rub....(大大份,不怕吃不飽啦~~)

因我倆到時是Brunch time, 加上是周末, 便集中火力看他們的weekend sets☺️☺️

Breakfast只在9:00-11:30供應,Brunch就供應至5:30。Brunch主要有Garlette, Pasta, Parisian Sandwiches 和 egg 四大類,價錢於$90-120,在灣仔近金鐘地段中屬於大眾價。

Galette以蕎麥粉製作,餅皮蕎麥味重,中間包著濃郁芝士和蛋,輕輕把蛋黃戳破,緩緩流出蛋汁,沾染著每個角落,令薄薄一片鹹香十足的Parma Ham增添蛋香細滑,豐富了整個層次。

Parma Ham本帶鹹身,會容易有點越食越鹹,但旁邊近鮮爽口的沙津菜和粒粒多汁勻圓的車厘茄,減輕油膩感,達到互相補足之用。

另外發現Galette雖然薄薄一片,完全不能小看,飽肚感十足,兩個小女生share是最好的選擇

切開半熟蛋的一刻,令人既興奮又自癒,迸出濃郁蛋香和柔滑微酸的荷蘭醬,加上黑松露香濃獨特的氣味,十分吸引。兩者配合,十分搭,更令我切得細細,慢慢咀嚼,細味品嘗。

配上新鮮肥美的三文魚和嫩身菠菜,增加口感,但略嫌底層麵包較薄身,可以加薄薄牛油烤得再香口點便更佳

最後來杯Cuppuccino作姊妹小聚悠閒的完美完結。Cuppuccino 奶泡打得細滑輕盈,但奶味可以再加強,而且咖啡味不太突出。

卻最令我窩心和驚喜是他們家竟然有提供Lotus biscoff,我心心念念的焦糖餅乾啊~~~我跟友人在歐洲留學時,常常買它配咖啡來喝,Lotus和咖啡真是天生絕配!❤️❤️❤️

今次用餐十分滿意,友人都大讚我選得好
餐廳食物製作用心而且高質素,吃到法國小鎮小館風情,價錢定位不高,較經濟抵食,性價比高唷!


最後跟老闆再多聊幾句,發現原來這家Mussels是每兩三天從法國空運到香港,保證新鮮,我再看看價錢都是$168(500g),十分吸引。離開後,我倆還說下次一定相約再到此吃晚餐,試試他們晚市主菜,順便支持下老闆小店的用心烹調❤️❤️❤️

As you can see there are a lot of mussels in the pot! The mussels are fresh and the texture is thick, each of them is fat and well soaked with the sauce.

actually they do not have this mix & match but they are short of salted butter caramel so we chose to use Nutella instead! We found it very yummy too!

這個主菜的正稱名稱找回到,因為餐牌原來有很多張都out focus了,大約是牛肉包配黑松露薯條。

薯條是較幼身的,剛炸起,熱度十足,配上一個冰的黑松露醬十分惹味,如果是在喝啤酒絕對是佐酒首選。牛肉包的芝士味十分香濃,像pizza卻又比起pizza更堅實,內裡的牛肉帶點鹹味,像是鹹牛肉,很重牛味,夾在兩片硬身麵包中間是一道很特別的菜。

與在法國吃到的,或香港其他法國餐廳相比,這兒的確很有獨特風格。很多朋友都覺得法式是的式,食唔飽,是精緻,是昂貴的,是浪漫又寧靜的,要講究食法的。

這兒走的是平價,食得飽,開懷吃和大伙兒吃。

全店都是外籍侍應,很Nice很到位。的確很有到了法國小村落的餐廳的感覺。

唯一不足可能就是檯與檯之間超級窄,私隱度不高外,更甚者是浪子隔鄰兩檯之遙的兩位女士傾計較為大聲,幾檯人都已經清楚聽到他們的話題。

Had the mushroom soup and seafood fettuccine but it was just too salty. Lemonade was a bit flat... Food got cold quickly because of the air conditioning directing hitting it. Well... Super friendly and helpful staff though.

由於肚仔飽飽,遇上這飯後甜品剛剛好,

可麗餅十分薄身,口感軟滑有咬口,

配上香甜焦糖醬,及軟滑香口煎香蕉,

多美妙啊!

加上Odelice!選用香港製作旳天然自製雪糕,

用上澳洲低脂牛奶,少量奶油,

不含人工添加物,質感又輕又健康,

享受後都不會有罪惡感。
