LF meatball burger $148一人到中環晚飯,叫了呢個burger個size 都幾大,夠dinner 份量Burger裏面有紫洋蔥,肉加芝士,芝士份量一般,不是漏出來0個種,蕃茄上有茄汁,很不錯,令蕃茄好味得多。Burger 旁有酸菜,酸的情度有點打冷顫,不過只是點絕一下就無傷大礙環境和音響是中上,不錯的,環境格調和食物也算中上會同朋友再來

近期工作開始進入忙碌期,放工後與一眾好友聚聚,是寫意的事。這夜再來到中環SOHO區的意式餐廳 Linguini Fini ,這裡新推出了六人燒豬宴,每位只需HKD458,就能品嚐豐富美味套餐。三款前菜各有特色,「Fresh Homemade Burrata」以自家製的Burrata配新鮮蕃茄和黑醋,相當醒胃;「Insalata Mista」的沙律採用本地有機農場食材,份外清新;「Garlic Bread」蒜香味凸出,蘸上蜆汁同吃,倍添滋味。這晚的主角是「Whole Sausage Stuffed Suckling Pig」,標榜由頭食到尾。乳豬登場,立即成為眾人相機的目標。約一個月大本地豬被燒得金黃香脆,內裡釀入意大利香腸肉餡,散發誘人香氣。若嫌肉味太膩,不妨多吃一點隨豬而上的「Roasted Vegetables & Homemade Pickles」,經醃製的蘑菇、紅菜頭、椰菜花及紅茴香,其酸味正好解膩。最後,當然不少了餐廳的經典意大利粉「Classic Linguini Fini Pomodori」。手工麵條水準十分,配上酸酸甜甜的蕃茄肉醬,味道一流。後記:Linguini Fi

後記:
Linguini Fini的環境令人很易放鬆,食物水準不錯,一大班朋友嘻嘻哈哈地渡過一晚,相當愉快。因為趕船而錯過甜品,但為貫徹餐廳的環保理念,我把豬頭帶了回家煲粥(笑)可惜自己煲的粥離美味尚有一段距離,下次再努力吧。

乳豬皮當然不及我們燒味的香脆, 但還稱得上是薄脆的油皮。

需然係BB 乳豬. 但它的脾位啖啖肉, 肉質軟淋的程度是可以唔用刀切一絲絲咁拉出來, 肉味香濃豐富

乳豬肚內的香腸肉涵也填得滿滿, 其實就是免治豬肉加上芬芳香草 , 味道比較濃, 個人認為略咸。

配以Lily & Ran 雲呢拿雪糕在咀內冰火交融著, 過癮。

先來前菜,最吸引我目光的就是Linguini Fini的fresh homemade burrata,水準依然。本地新鮮製造,省卻了不少花在運輸上的時間。切開burrata,相當濕潤軟滑,入口淡淡奶香很creamy。而番茄片入口無渣,清甜多汁。輕輕的用橄欖油和黑醋調味,已夠滋味。

烤乳豬是按傳統意式的做法,把製香腸餡料塞入豬肚內烤。乳豬仔烤得皮脆而肉嫩又juicy。其中的豬頭朋友更帶了回家煲粥,一於把Linguini Fini由頭吃到尾的精神貫切至家中!

最後甜品時間,有美式蘋果批配球雲呢拿雪糕。熱辣辣的蘋果批把雪糕都溶掉。以美式甜品來說,這客甜品的甜度一點不過份。批焗得香脆,而裡面全是片片香甜軟腍的蘋果肉,配著滑溜雪糕一起吃,滿足~

 family of 4 ... kids needed their burger and meatball sent back to be cooked properly ... my wife has the clam pasta that had 2 clams and was exceptionally salty - she has a very upset stomach today. I had the pork main and it was dry and salty.7 years in HK and never had anything this poor. my advice is go to a noodle shop instead and save yourself the wait and the expense.SHOCKING experience.

7 years in HK and never had anything this poor. 

my advice is go to a noodle shop instead and save yourself the wait and the expense.

SHOCKING experience.

西餐的乳豬甚少成隻上的,通常切去頭和尾,但這店奉行「由頭吃到尾」,所以便像中菜般原隻上。而豬肉亦烤得皮脆肉滑,我仲食了成隻豬髀,非常滿足。

吃完一客蘋果批(Apple Pie with Lily & Ran Vanilla Ice Cream)後,這次的野獸宴便完滿結束了。對吃肉獸來說,這Beast Feast Menu未必算是太多肉,但以健康角度來說就剛剛好,吃完我也不覺得太Heavy呢!

I was expecting lots of meat but it was antipasti, a cute suckling pig with vegetables and dessert.

Started off with garlic bread which was crispy and chewy served with a tasty sauce, then there was a tangy green salad and my favourite homemade burrata which was creamy.

The pickled cauliflower and beets went nicely with the pig because it balanced the fattiness while the chili mostarda (spicy mustard) made it appetizing.

My first experience was very disappointing.  We had a table for 4 and was entertaining relatives from London.Most of the dishes we ordered were pretty good with moderate flavors. Nothing really special.  The evening started with the server bringing me a glass of white wine when I ordered a glass of red wine.  I started the meal with the fried calamari and it was fine.  It is really not fine dining and the prices were fair so no need to be discriminating.  Therefore it was adequate.  The most disspointing part of the evening was the server completely forgot my main course which was the eggplant parmasian.  The eggplant parmasian finally arrived after everyone else had finished and it was fine.  I think the recipe was fine but it may have neen underseasoned and I had to add a bit of cheese and crushed hot peppers to the dish.  The server did not even offer us free dessert or complimentary wine.  Average food and poor service is not a recipe for success. I will never return.

I love Garlic Bread and the bread was crispy and delicious with a generous amount of garlic butter. It came with a spicy clam broth that had a rather cute clam on the side as a decoration but I didn't think it added much to the bread though.

Linguini Fini is known to source all of their vegetables from local organic farms and the Insalata Mista with greens, vegetables and roasted garlic was refreshing to eat especially with the addition of balsamic vinaigrette.

Finally the star of the menu arrived and there was a collective awe at the Suckling Pig which was showcased to us as a whole! I couldn't wait to try just by looking at the golden color of the crispy skin and after we finished taking pictures, the kitchen took it back to cut the suckling pig for us.

The suckling pig had an abundant amount of sausage stuffing while served with red fennel, red onion and chili mostarda. I really loved eating the crispy skin of the suckling pig while the stuffing was delicious as well.

We wrapped up our meal with the ever classic Caramel Apple Pie with vanilla ice cream. I loved the use of whole apple chunks under the crispy pastry while the caramel was irresistible with the ice cream!

Mozzarella is always my favourite cheese and burrata is totally an upgrade version of it! It was kind of disappointing that we could not see nor capture the moment with cheese oozing out. Garlic bread was really crunchy with a slight chewiness in the interior. It was not too garlicky which really helped to pick up the intense sweetness from the clams broth.

Anddd here comes highlight of the day - Suckling Pig stuffed with sausage meat! The pig was literally a baby one with very little meat by its own, though its skin was incredibly crispy. There was loads of sausage meat inside but luckily it was not very greasy. Meat around the legs was a tad dry.

Pastry of the Apple Tart was not the flaky type. If you call it a short bread crust, it was a bit soggy. Though I loved the sticky caramel with the crunchy cooked apples.

To be honest I have found the starters, side dishes and tart more outstanding than the pig itself. Though in general the food was lovely. If the seats were more spacious, it would definitely make this place a hot one in town for reunions.

There was only one way for us to find out if it met our other criteria, great tasting food, and that was to finally check it out.

Ironically, we went to Linguini Fini on a Sunday evening for dinner, so even though it was conveniently located on our walk home, we ended up coming at it from the wrong direction. Being a Sunday, we didn't think it would have been necessary to make a booking, and while the restaurant was quite busy with Sunday afternoon/evening expat drinkers, there were still tables available for diners.

If you've walked up the escalators through Soho, then you'd have seen Linguini Fini before, it's pretty hard to miss. What makes it stand out so much is its open facade and its bright red neon sign, shining like a beacon calling in weary travellers for a beer and a pizza. We were led around the back of the restaurant and given a seat that had a prime view of the kitchen, which gave me a bit of a sense of Linguini Fini. Know for it's fresh produce that's locally sourced, I could see fresh pasta hanging from the ceiling and one of the chefs handling a huge fish that looked like it was squirming about, it was so fresh.

Being such a hot night, we went straight for drinks, with SC ordering a Peroni, which was delivered in a tall, frosted glass. She got straight into it and heaved a sigh of pleasure once the crisp and refreshing brew passed her lips. I had to wait for a little longer for my drink to arrive, but once the Mango Lassi was delivered, I eagerly got stuck into the sweet mango drink.

Refreshments sorted, it was time to look over the menu and get food underway. With a pretty wide selection of typical Italian fare, the menu mostly focussed on fresh pasta dishes and pizza. There was a section for mains, but interestingly, they mainly focused on International style cuisine and were clearly on the menu to add a broader appeal to the tourists that flock to Soho in the summer months. We decided to skip the generic westernised food and go for more traditional foods.

With a wide selection of options, SC oscillated between a couple of options before finally choosing one of Linguini Fini's signature dishes. The Italian 'Xiao Long Bao', which was described on the menu as beef and pork filled agnolotti with tomato sauce, chilli oil and a 30 year balsamic. When the dish was presented, they really just looked like fancy parcels of beef, much more like ravioli than 'xaiolongbao'. Like good Italian food, there were few ingredients on the plate but as a consequence, the dish looked a little boring, there was no rich looking sauce to fill out the pasta. Food is all about the taste, and the Italian xiaolongbao tasted fine, the pork and beef filling were nice, the key issue was that the pasta seemed just a little under and was not quite al dente. Perhaps a tradeoff for the shape? More likely they just needed an extra 30 seconds of cooking.

I'd taken a different route for dinner, ordering a pizza. There was a funny exchange with our waitress when we ordered the pizza though. Commenting that the pizzas were really big, she asked me if I wanted any starters for the meal. My natural 'smartarse' nature came to the fore and I instantly responded that I wouldn't need an entree as the pizzas were really big. Well, it seemed funny to me at the time!

I almost always order a Margherita, so didn't really study the menu when ordering. If I had, I would have noticed that chili was also included on the Margherita as well as the traditional fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil. As promised, the pizza delivered was huge, it could have easily fed a family of four for dinner. It looked the goods, but as I took my first bite, the hit of chili kicked in and my mouth went into overdrive. A few more bites and I was in complain mode, traditional Margherita does not have chili included in the sauce, but you can add after if you chose. I guess I'll cop to not reading the menu clearly, so it's really my stupid fault, but I only ate a couple of pieces of the pizza and left it up to the girl to have a couple of slices so it at least look like we tried.

When our waitress came to take the pizza away and noted there was so much left over, I smiled and said she was right... It was a huge pizza! We turned down the offer to box up the pizza to take home.

Deciding not to take on dessert, we called it a night at Linguini Fini.

I should probably start looking at the prices of some menu items, the pizza I'd ordered was spectacularly expensive for a Margherita, about $50 AUD. Sure it was big, but that's some expensive pizza. SC's pasta was much more reasonably priced though, so it wasn't all bad.

So, after a quick Sunday night dinner we were left with a question. Would we go back for dinner mid week on the way home from work? Well, I think I'd give Linguini Fini one more go, but this time stick to the fresh pasta. It's not so easy to find good pasta in Hong Kong (yes, there is some about), so if we can find a quick simple pasta place on the way home, it would be worth it's weight in gold.

So, we'll give it another shot, but only one!

The cooked dishes were surprisingly good too! I wasn't going to eat too much of these at first since I had ordered other dishes already but the chicken and the brussel sprouts were really flavorful.

On the whole, the antipasti buffet here may not have the most selection but it's the quality that counts and on that front, I would say the restaurant passed with flying colors!

Instead of alcohol, we opted for this healthy option with our brunch - Homegrown Green ($68) with cucumber, green pepper, celery, granny smith apple, bitter melon and honey! For a drink that was so green, it tasted quite refreshing and appetizing actually.

Salt Cured Egg Infused Linguini Fini ($198) - I was intrigued by its name on the menu and although there was no visible egg in it (totally missed the word "infused"), the pasta here was delightful as usual with its springy and chewy texture while the pesto and roasted cherry tomatoes were a delicious combo.

LF Benedict ($228) - this was something special! Only available at the weekend brunch, this was not your typical eggs benedict as the hollandaise sauce was made with 'nduja which is a type of spicy spreadable salami from Italy. The only thing was that I thought the ham was a bit too salty for me.

Hot Chocolate Affogato ($68) - with milk gelato and cinnamon toast crunches, this was the perfect end to our meal! Looking at that rich and luscious chocolate waterfall is making me drool again. I only wished that there was more gelato to balance the chocolate out at the end though.

一心來試臭草意粉,果然沒有失望。意粉夠硬,但仍帶一點生,再煮一點點就剛好。散發著草香,很特別。雖然醬汁底是Alfredo,但濃郁的芝士和忌廉,此刻只是盡忠職守的配角,沾滿每條意粉,令口感豐滿,而沒有蓋過清新的草香。

完美的意粉,十分彈牙。以豬肉碎和牛肉碎打成的大肉丸,肉味甚香,口感很鬆,加上芝士,更是好吃。蕃茄汁新鮮,茄味香濃。

沒想到fettuccine反而這麼腍,麵條薄薄的,蛋味很香。松露和芝士味十分香濃,加上新鮮蘑菇,菌味更突出。喜歡它的味道,卻不喜歡它的口感。

蛋麵很香, 而且十分 Al Dente。意粉的粗度剛剛好 (對, 我對意粉的粗度十分執著
, 不可太粗或太幼, 否則會影響口感)。Pesto sauce 十分清新
, 加上幾顆酸酸甜甜車厘茄, 半熟車厘茄煮得剛剛好, 不太硬又不太淋, 十分醒胃
。唯一不足就是olive oil 太多, 有點油膩, 而且分量有點小。

說穿了, 其實只是肉醬意粉。利用豬肉, 小牛肉及牛尾煮成的肉醬的分量充足, 但味道沒有太大驚喜
, 略嫌醬料味道太濃 (即係有D重口味
)。這碟分量比我的那份多, 意粉依舊十分Al Dente


總括: 要是不是特別喜歡spaghetti的話, 只吃antipasti buffet 最抵食

餐廳用上敞開式的門面, 沒有玻璃或門阻擋, 好好利用自然陽光, 讓我在工作期間也可享用一個slacking & relaxing lunch, 為下午的工作注滿力量
。在伊利近街往前行一點, 有另一間Dining Concept 旗下的餐廳, 主打有機食材(clean & sustainable farmers’ products), 下次試試那間!
题外话/补充资料: 不用加一, 但服務依然很好!就算我不明白Menu上的介紹, 他們願意細心解釋!
