As each numbered menu item has a corresponding photo in the menu, I was looking forward to tucking into a juicy 1-cm thick chicken breast between two slices of thick farmer bread, as was depicted on the menu. After another 20-30 minutes wait, the sandwich arrived -- but the chicken was virtually absent. Between the slices of bread sat a single leaf of romaine lettuce topped with 3-4 small thinly sha
I immediately sent it back, while the waiter assured me that the next sandwich would be to my satisfaction (and presumably bearing some resemblance to the photo in the menu). 10 minutes later, the exact same sandwich was returned to my table, with perhaps one additional 2 mm thick slice of chicken slipped in as a consolation prize. The waiter then admitted that they should change the photo in the menu, which was indicative that this is in fact their standard portion. I was furious and left the restaurant.
While the other dishes I've tried there in the past have been decent tasting, this blatant misrepresentation / false advertising most likely extends to some of their other menu items that look enticing on the menu. I certainly won't be returning to this dubious establishment who are in clear violation of the Trade Descriptions Ordinance. Caveat emptor -- WHAT YOU SEE, IS NOT WHAT YOU GET!
