自我開關後第一間新試既餐廳Rosewood 酒店裡面既 @chaathongkong Wellcome food 辣到食唔到其他野,重同我講頭兩道係已經最辣,之後個兩樣唔記得影,係好食既!當晚叫左4樣菜, 都係tasting menu , 如果唔餓散叫重抵,tasting menu $9XXpp我地重叫左支酒埋單都係$25XX一星食夠飽又開埋酒唔駛$3K

相對貼近傳統版本 食材同調味都無大改動
係有食過下印度菜既都會熟悉既味道
但賣相有變得更加打卡able


◦ Malabar Fish Curry
應該係第一次試malabar curry
以黃薑 咖喱葉同椰奶為基底 配以多款香料調製而成
除左有少少辣 相信對香港人係易接受既口味
通常都配魚 chaat無道明用左咩魚類
但魚肉好厚肉兼好滑溜~


◦ Lamb Chop
我最想試既item.ᐟ‪‪‪.ᐟ‪‪‪
成日覺得印度菜整羊好好食
羊架應該就第一次試
佢總共有三件 比食開既size大件
影相淨係見到佢黑蚊蚊咁
但佢係做到外面焦香 內裏粉嫩
佢既香料醃料十分入味 配薄荷醬同開心果既效果好夾~


◦ Black Truffle & Chili Cheese Naan
比個名呃左試添 早知都係食原味/garlic naan
黑松露香既 chili cheese就唔太有存在感
最出事係佢口感 扁平乾爭爭既薄餅咁
然後神奇地四塊當中 有一塊又係有啲鬆軟既(  ・᷄֊・᷅ )


◦ Pistachio Kulfi
最後試左一款甜品—開心果味雪糕
佢係印度傳統雪糕 口感比較實在同埋dense
開心果味都算濃郁 但甜左少少
墊底有一堆米粉咁既東西 我唔太識欣賞lol


- Summary -
我個人係喜歡另一間New Punjab Club多啲既
特別係佢既Keema Pau我仲係好記得同好想再食‎
Chaat質素都高 菜式更加modern
但無邊一樣令我好想為左再食而番去
而且佢調味整體都好重手
口味好強烈 甜既好甜 鹹既好鹹
好靠配搭既醬汁去平衡番
兩間naan我都無試原味 無得直接比較
但都係(出奇地)失望既…

The two signature items on CHAAT's menu. Chef Manav Tuli turned the commonly seen street foods into delicate artworks which were both visial and gustatory feasts. The Raj Kachori had the perfect balance between all types flavors, sweet, savory, sourness and spiciness, while the Baked Samosa used jackfruit to replace the meat and turn it into a less heavy and oily yet still aromatic snacks.

Tho all the mains were not in the colourful way as the appetizers were, but trust me, the were all the flavorful bombs hidden underneath the simple looks. Both the Australian Wagyu Cheek and Fish in Curry were perfectly tender while rich in umami that makes every bite enjoyable. The Naan was stuffed with shaved black truffle inside and tasted amazing by itself, but I would recommended to have the regular butter/ garlic naan instead to make less interference to the curry's taste.

Usually I would have mango lassi whenever I'm having indian meal but this time I went for the interesting coconut lassi instead, which was sweet and perfect pair with the heavy seasoned hot dishes. But if you are aiming for a more refreshing option, the Chakotara tonic made with citrus and rosemary should be your pick.

We visited again last night for the sons birthday, another wonderful experience.Its great to see the menu changing seasonally so that we can discover new tastes.Staff are absolutely super, very welcoming and willing to explain each dish in detail.The lamb chops are my personal favourite as they are super meaty, and the Tandori cooking is fantastic for chops, my wife is a big fan of the Lamb Biryani, which was absolutely huge.There is also plenty of choices of drinks available, this occasion I op

Staff are absolutely super, very welcoming and willing to explain each dish in detail.
The lamb chops are my personal favourite as they are super meaty, and the Tandori cooking is fantastic for chops, my wife is a big fan of the Lamb Biryani, which was absolutely huge.
There is also plenty of choices of drinks available, this occasion I opted for my favourite Ale (London Pride) and my son choose a Mango Lassi which he absolutely loved.
The steak simply melts in the mouth, you have to have it!
Additionally we appreciate how accommodating the kitchen is by making a super spicy sauce for my wife to add to her dishes, as well as rustling up my sons personal favourite of Butter Chicken (which is not on the menu).
I have travelled the world extensively and so far not experienced an Indian restaurant that even comes close to Chaat,  we are really looking forward to our next visit.

Was able to book a table for 2 only 2 weeks ago. Someone must have cancelled. Service was normal for a 5-star hotel. Seating is a bit basic. Most importantly, food was not what I expected given so much hype about this restaurant. I’d rather eat at another smaller, lesser known Indian restaurant. Baked samosa - The presentation is the main thing here. The texture is nice. Crispy on the outside. Moist and tender inside. But the flavour tastes like overcooked stew. Therefore not a fan. The raita needs a little more acidity and freshness.

Paneer tikka - A nice charred flavour. Some say the paneer is house-made. It’s a little too crumbly to my liking. And it’s not as smooth and creamy as fresh paneer should be. The apple puree filling is a nice touch. The tomato sauce that comes with it does not match well in bringing out the flavour of the dish. It feels like they just threw in something here, as it’s the same sauce they serve with the other dish.

Malabar fish curry - The fish is okay, but the sauce is not. It lacks the characters of an Indian curry. The flavour is very banal. And it tastes like it was made 5 days ago. I usually eat up all the curry/masala even if I don’t have any more bread on hand, but this time I didn’t. They need to cut down on the salt, and make better use of spices instead.

Garlic naan - The naan here is very thin and light. It’s good if you don’t like bready naan. The garlic flavour is not very pronounced. In fact, I have forgotten that I ordered garlic naan until I’m writing this review.

Mango lassi & coconut lasssi - The coconut is a little better than mango. But both taste like ordinary smoothies. I don’t know why they are so stingy on spices. In my opinion, mango lassi needs to have the sweet, herbal, aromatic green cardamom flavour.

Chai masala - Way too sweet to my taste. And the cinnamon here is overpowering all the other spices. And it was pulled only once into the glass in front of you. How do you expect the guest to hold the thin glass when the chai is still so hot? This one is a total failure.

Pistachio kulfi - Pistachio flavour is very rich. The kulfi is creamy and smooth. Though I can do without the seviyan underneath. This is probably the most enjoyable part of the meal. As I’m pretty sure I will not buy kulfi on the streets in India because of hygienic concerns, this is the place to have it.

Khubani ka meetha - This tastes more like a western dessert than an Indian one to me. If you like dried apricots and crumble, then you’ll love it.


Overall, most dishes are good food, but not good Indian food. It just doesn’t give the palate that Indian street food flavour. They need to make better use of the different Indian spices and fresh herbs to make it authentic. What you have now is dull food made only to look good in photos. Even if you want to present with a modern twist, the food still needs to taste good.

終於嚟到筆者較為熟悉嘅印度菜式,香料烤雞咖哩。與港式Butter Chicken不同,是以香料及乳酪醃製的雞件,加上以香料混合而成的辣醬汁,顏色呈橙紅色,入口味道 creamy及充滿香料香味。

用多種香料及豆類熬煮成嘅醬汁,可以配合Naan一齊享用,筆者由於係地中海旅行食咗一個鷹嘴豆泥料理,因此對此觀感一般。

🍴我自己就覺得佢嘅Raj Kachori同Baked Samosa比較出色 食到好香嘅香料味之餘口感豐富 再配上乳酪醬 我覺得更好食~
兩個都係令我開眼界嘅印度街頭美食😋

佢哋嘅烤雞咖喱偏向奶味重 我自己都幾鍾意 唔會話過濃香料味 我覺得香港人係完全接受到佢哋呢隻咖喱🍛

佢哋嘅烤餅有幾款口味 分別係原味同蒜味~
我覺得兩隻味都好好食 烤餅配上咖喱簡直係完美配合😆 個人推薦再蘸埋乳酪醬真係正到爆😋

係傳統印度杏乾甜品 比較甜同有重椰香味雪糕夾埋食 但我就覺得杏乾嘅口感有啲怪🫢

係傳統雪糕甜品~佢嘅雪糕係條狀呈上 雪糕附近有一條條類似粉絲嘅涼粉 口感有啲似金邊粉 第一次試覺得新奇🤣 不過唔知點解覺得整個甜品配合埋一齊食就唔係好夾🥲

🥂Lunch Signature Menu都加咗Wine Pairing 我覺得佢哋嘅Sommelier好詳細去講解幾款酒嘅來源 比較特別係其中一支Chianti紅酒 聞落去好重煙肉味 比較full-bodied但係又唔會太heavy🍷

最後想講講佢哋嘅Dessert Port Wine 真係最驚喜就係會有Port Wine飲 仲要係用Cask keep住 直接推到客人附近去呈現 特別有儀式感✨🥰
第一次飲直接係Cask到出嚟嘅Port Wine 飲落去唔止死甜 仲帶有有淡淡嘅橡木香~鍾意飲Port Wine嘅人記住留意吓啦🥃

Overall嚟講佢哋嘅服務好好 好少見到香港有餐廳願意有同時兩位Sommelier同場出現😯
我覺得兩個印度小食同埋wine pairing最有記憶點~但對於呢間餐廳係一位難求 我就有少少保留啦🫢
點都好 我覺得可以喺香港識到唔錯嘅印度菜 唔會太重香料味 幾啱香港人食 我覺得Chaat值得大家試吓👍🏻

We started off with some baked samosas that looked like ice cream cones, complete with a thin skin and chives on top - super cute and tasty! And the RAJ Kachori was so refreshing, with a crispy lentil texture and sweet & tangy chutney. Unfortunately, they didn't have the Old Delhi butter chicken on the menu anymore, so we went for the similar dish - "Chicken Tikka Masala" that went perfectly with some rice and naan (pancake). But the real stars of the show were the tandoori octopus and lamb chops. The octopus was so tender, and the lamb chops were grilled to perfection with pistachios on top. Desserts weren't really my thing, but I highly recommend their Masala chai - and the pulled tea performace, it was the bomb!

Overall the food was decent, but it didn't quite blow my mind - I mean, I wouldn't say it's worth waiting for months, but it was still pretty good value for money and the service was great.

Def recommend getting their tasting menu for those with a larger appetite 🙌 friendly reminder, their signature appetite Baked Samosa is quite spicy 🌶️ well worth the sweat tho 😋 and please save room for desert - the Pistachio Kulfi is their signature for a reason 💚

外表看似燒得比較乾,但係一切落去,肉質軟滑呈粉紅色。牛肉以克什米爾辣椒粉及肉桂粉醃過,味道獨特。如果沾上乳酪醬一齊食,creamy 又惹味。


🔸Chicken Tikka Masala
雞塊用香料同乳酪醃製,煮成濃香咖喱,少許辣,屬於溫和嘅咖喱,唔食得辣嘅朋友都食到。濃稠嘅咖喱汁用嚟沾Naan 食就最適合。


🔸Dal Narkel
用多種香料及豆類熬煮成嘅醬汁,通常印度人會喺特別嘅日子先會烹製。我覺得似gravy ,都可以沾Naan一齊食。


🔸Prawn Pulao - 印度鮮蝦仁炒飯
印度嘅香米同我哋食開嘅絲苗米好唔一樣,印度米比較長,而且乾身,唔會黏口。咀嚼嘅時候,陣陣香料嘅味道會緩緩滲出。蝦仁非常新鮮彈牙。


🔸Boondi Raita - 鷹嘴豆脆粒乳酪醬
廚師建議呢一款乳酪醬汁可以混合蝦仁炒飯一齊品嚐,可以提升風味。


🔸Khubani Ka Meetha - 婚禮上的甜品
杏脯乾切成絲,用糖、香料及果仁煮至果醬嘅濃稠度,配上香滑嘅椰子雪糕,甜蜜又美味。


🔸Seasonal Kulfi - 傳統印度雪糕
開心果雪糕,奶味重而且幼滑,伴以甜味米粉、開心果仁和杏仁一齊食,有趣又出奇地滋味。


🔸Coconut Lassi - 椰子奶昔 ($100)
椰子味香濃,飲得出係用新鮮椰漿🥥我本身好鍾意椰子,所以會俾100分!印度菜一般都比較辣,甜嘅飲品就最適合解辣。


飯後感:賣相及味道都令人有耳目一新嘅感覺。如果想試試印度菜,Chaat會係一個好選擇!
