It was my first time at this restaurant. The welcome dish was a cheese which is quite special. Don’t have time to finish big lunch since I have to run to another lunch meeting, I ordered a carbonara and a white wine instead. It’s a bit salty and big in my standard, taste is okay though.

Carbone is one of my go to places for good pasta, chill 1950s New York vibes, and a nice glass of wine. I enjoy the vibe here, friendly service, warm colors deco with comfortable sofas, family style tablecloth, music, and chatters. yes. i have always seen and heard lots of good comments about carbone. but sometimes that makes me even more scared to try. as larger the hope. the larger the disappointment.BUT. to my surprise. i LOVED it here. i was highly impressed with the service of the manager and the waiter who served us. trying to entertain/make jokes when we were waiting for our frd to arrive. (he was 45 mins late). but for some others. service could highly improve. eg. placing the food onto our table loud & rudely. oh.
