You have no way to get a seat in those popular great restaurants without booking a table in advance for Valentines Day. So, It took us an hour to search for a restaurant on that day and finally we found this japanese restaurant in henry house! We were so surprised to know theres still seats for two. Thats lucky for us to have dinner in shukou Jyu as the style of this restaurant is so japanese and the food are all served by japanese cook as well! We ordered the valentines day special dinner set for two plus cod fish.I love the chocolate cake!! its cold and tastes so good!! we would come again next time! 继续阅读

I like fresh sashimi. We visited on Friday last week. Manager's recommendation was Korean sashimi orders. When ordered to flounder sashimi makes a living. Wow! Fresh and delicious! 好開心呀,我能夠第一個為這餐廳寫食評既顧客,好榮幸因為應承老公請食飯haha嬴左少少錢而果日想食日本野,無意中上左十八樓,哦原來新開張,我概念新張的食物都一定系新鲜既,決定一試啦坐下bar枱位置當然叫野飲啦甘高興,而來介紹的是一位日本先生佢亦介绍清酒我一試,名字已忘記了,這時奉上各顏色的洒杯我們選擇,我同老公當然情侶杯啦,飲下一口酒,不錯味道甘甜滑溜不錯呢,接着叫了數款剌身,左口魚鲜甜我喜欢,池魚王可能我对濃味魚不是太鐘愛,普通啦,帶子很好吃大大粒一句話就是鲜味啦,之後師傳推介秋刀鱼刺身薄切,,,,,,,,,,,我可以話很好吃連我不太吃這款鱼的從今後愛上,擺碟精美少少花瓣放上很美,我一放進口很滑,很肥美是很有鱼味呢這个極力推介...接着吃了炸海胆正呀///////其他地方少有的.看到阿蘇食我又想食.要整到外脆而內軟難得.蝦天富羅...這个也好吃但不会强烈推介啦,最後吃美味綠茶雪糕,來個完美终結....這晚同老公过了一個開心的晚上,而師傳們也细心的問了今晚的食物ok嗎?细心的推介他認為好的,侍應們勤快友善,老板同太太也很友善呢,走時日本先生說下次請我們飲點酒....wo這樣有心的餐廳再來臨也是值得的ps/雖然我冇影相但我过了幾天也想推介這餐廳証明秋刀魚炸海胆是難忘的haha 继续阅读

Found out about this place from the flyers outside the building....The restaurant has a typical setting of the Henry House eataries. The floor manager has limited Cantonese and English fluency, any queries should be directed to the waitresses or the sushi chef unless you speak Japanese. As I've indicated I only have time for a quick lunch, the kitchen and waitress had managed to fulfilled my requirements without ruining the ambience. I very much enjoyed the luxury of a quiet lunch without people rushing around.As I only had a lunch set ($90 Sliced sashimi on rice) I can only comment on the key observations.Salad with Japanese dressing - AverageSpinach in sesame sauce - I was excited they served this unfortunately over-dressed and overpowered the spinach itselfRice -- the rice needs the most improvement out of everything. The stickiness and choice of the grain itself require adjustmentSashimi -- Average....however I hope better sashimi is served in a la carte menu. I had a look at the a la carte menu, there are plenty of choices, also with 2 dinner set available ($390 - without sashimi and ($590 - with sashimi)Overall, as I mentioned I only had a lunch set so would be too careless to make a judgement over the quality of the dishes. 屈指一算原來有一段時間沒有過來銅鑼灣,以往因讀書的關係經常來這邊,因為要去旭屋書店買心儀的書本,順道就過來這間叫聚日本美食餐廳吃個午飯,其實前身是Sodeyama,師傅回去湖舟,未吃之前已經知道是由香港師傅主理廚房一切工作,日本師傅坐鎮的話,就多一點信心,當然在香港吃好一點的壽司刺身收的價錢可以追得上日本的高級鮨店.其實接手的店鋪沒有大的分別,偏向和式,當然不用全部裝修慳回時間和金錢,和Sodeyama相比下,前者選擇比較少,最昂貴的聚魚生飯賣二百五十元,壽司定食就賣一百五十元,價錢偏向中上,如果從食友的相片來看是比壽司廣好得多,看來看去真係自己不知想吃什麼好~!唯有吃過最貴的聚魚生飯.份量都不少,內有油甘,大池魚,象拔蚌,拖羅,平目,蝦,筋子以及煙鰻魚,論種類都不少,只有拖羅沒有海膽可能未必吸引到某些食客,不過沒有海膽反而會更好,因為可能出來效果不好,山葵不是即磨,吃落只有辣味,油甘和大池魚吃不到有什麼分別,總覺得味道很淡,平目就偏向硬,切得不算好,生筋子帶有咸味,但不算是很鮮,如果不講是筋子,還以為是三文魚子,煙鰻魚吃落淡淡的鹹,不算特別的,拖羅帶有油脂,吃落包保一定溶化,只不過都最後口腔留下一點根,普通的質素.米飯還好的,不算太濕,雖然不是好的魚生飯,但都吃得完整碗飯,近期也沒有什麼意慾吃刺身壽司,最糟是玉子是完全沒有味道,比起其他魚生飯附有的玉子更糟.以前在迴轉吃過沒有味道玉子想不到這裏都會遇上!服務還好,也會詢問客人的意見,不過其食物水準就不算好,坦白講二百五十元的魚生飯我真係覺得偏貴,雖然午市係會有差距,晚上會不會再來?有一定的難度,如其給上數百元吃壽司的話,我現在寧願儲多一點金錢往日本吃過夠本,起碼技巧和食物新鮮都會比香港有一段距離~! 继续阅读
