After I have finished my appointment, i decided to pack food home for dinner tonight. While walking along the street, I saw their menu displayed outside and was attracted by the price. Pepper Power was located at Hung Hom Bay Centre, several minutes walk from Whampoa MTR. Besides offering those typical dishes found in cha chan teng, they offered a wide range of Thai cuisine ranging from appetizers, rice or noodle, curry and drinks etc. They even offered dinner set as well. Besides offering those typical dishes found in cha chan teng, they offered a wide range of Thai cuisine ranging from appetizers, rice or noodle, curry and drinks etc. They even offered dinner set as well.
Pineapple smoothie was blended till smooth, with no ice bits. It was sweet in taste, able to taste pineapple bits in it too. Red bean with milk tea was smooth and milky, with strong tea taste. Red bean was sweet and chewy as well.
Prawn cake - It was deep fried till crispy and juicy, with Thai sweet and sour sauce provided to enhance the flavour.
Pork jowl with pho - This is the dry version of Vietnamese noodle, with sauce provided to pour inside it. Pho was soft and smooth, the sauce was appetizing and sweet. Pork neck was chewy and flavourful.
Hainanese chicken with Thai noodle in soup - The chef was generous with the portion of the chicken, almost covering the whole bowl. Chicken was steamed till juicy and chewy, and the soup was clear as well. Hor fun was soft and smooth, absorbing the essence of the soup.
