Have always wanted to try this place but had been put off by the long queue. Finally last week, when my beau & I were having an early bird dinner in the area, we decided to give it a shot.
Got there around 8pm, can't believe there was already a little line up at the entrance. The place was quite small & I was expected to be sitting back to back w/ other customers... but to our suprise, they were kind enough to give us the whole table which could have seated 4ppl.
There were a variety of desserts to offer, from ice slush to chinese traditional desserts. We knew what we came for, so we ordered the coffee ice slush which came w/ red beans, coffee jelly & little rice mochis. If you fancy, there is also another slip of paper in which you can choose your own ice flavor, syrup, toppings... basically anything can go in the combination except that green tea cannot be mixed with chocolate...Well, I though many Jap dessert places serve this as their signature dessert, I'm just surprised this combo doesn't work here.
The ice slush portion was not overly huge but was enough to be shared by 2. But from what I've seen, many would order one each. Our dessert was a delight, the texture of the ice was extremely fine that it melts right in the mouth. The coffee after taste was great, it's definitely a must-try for all you coffee lovers!! The banana ice slush also looks tempting, I'd come back for it!
This place is definitely a lighter & more refreshing dessert option this summer but I'd suggest arriving before 8pm cos the line up afterward is ridiculously insane.
