Actually, i like this kind of rice becoz i will have some crispy rice afier i have finished the whole bowl of rice and the smelly is reli nice.....However it is not easy to find a good restaurant serves this..The one i most appreciate is the 新寶 in YL, which use a traditionally pot to cook it immediately after your order....Anyway,i went to fairwood and tried ,$35 is not cheap ......Fine, when the rice came , the smell is not as sharp as the one i have eaten in 新寶..The rice was a little bit too

The rice was a little bit too wet so made the rice too soft and just like the one baby eat..and the toppings are not very good,or i can say is poor ,over-use the meat tenderizor made the meat to be too soft and lost its original tenderness...The sauce is ok, with sweetness and some msg,of course...
One important thing is ..the pot is not hot enough and it reli lose the flavour of having
Rice steamed in earthen-pot...i feel reli disappointed...
Although you may say Fairwood serves this kind of things is common,but it costs $35 and Rice steamed in earthen-pot is reli a very traditional HKese style food....so just make it better and keep this valuable tradition....
The environment is ok and the same in all branches in HK...
The serves is the same..but when i asked for a cup of water, the waiter asked me to wait in a not polite way...
I wont try this in fairwood anymore.
