How come, How come, How come ?

Our group went to this place for lunch today. We wanted to try this out as we have heard so may positive comments on this restaurant. But for whatever reasons on earth, it all turned out to be the other way round ! Firstly we made a booking and specified a non-smoking table as all of us are allegic to other people's smoke. Our group went to this place for lunch today. We wanted to try this out as we have heard so may positive comments on this restaurant. But for whatever reasons on earth, it all turned out to be the other way round ! Firstly we made a booking and specified a non-smoking table as all of us are allegic to other people's smoke. When we got there, we were seated next to 4 live chimneys who were smoking non-stop and kept releasing out tonnes of smoke. We asked the waitress how come we were seated in the smoking area, she just told us "perhaps" the non-smoking area is full. Already with a bad start, we decided to finish our lunch as quickly as possible. As we started looking at the dim-sum sheet and busy deciding what we were going to eat, from that moment onwards at intervals of every 5 secs, somebody ( I guess they do it in turn individually , in a group of 3) would come over and recommend us to try all those exquisite ( and pricey of courses, ie: lobster) dishes from the menu. It was very annoying and as we already said we would said we would think about it but they did not seem to understand the language we speak. Get real, the 1st lotto prize is still far from reach, what we wanted was just a decent lunch that would be yummy and satisfying. Anyway, we ordered some dim sums, all the portions were awfully small. They dared to charge people $25 for 5 slices of 2mm cut Tofu and about $40+ for a tiny dish of roast spare ribs( not spare ribs, I should say, roast fat) The Har Gau ( Prawn Dumplings) was a classic. They should come with some magnifying glasses for each diners. I have never seen a minature Har Gau and thanks to them, I got to see it for myself. And Gosh, they charged around $30 for these 4 pieces of mini dices ! I guess the ingredients must be imported from another planet so that's why. Some restaurants which charged $1 for Har Gau did a lot better job.

To conclude, what a disappointing experience ! I guess their staff definitely need to be trained -not just stayed numb with their mouths half-opened when they did not know how to attend to customers' requests and stop hassling people on ordering on the most expensive stuff on the menu. Do they have a quota to meet, I wonder ?

Best Cantonese food in town!

All the dim sums are so good, no need to mention one by one.. the soup is the best part in Lee Yuen as they used the best quality materials to boil "old fire soup"...i love the "crab roe sharks fin soup", so much crab roe and sharks fin, worth to try! The barbecue pork is the best in town, no other place can have such delicious barbecue pork!My parents are the loyal customers here, so the captain always gave their suggestions when we ordered food, we don't have to look at the menu.. the dessert

My parents are the loyal customers here, so the captain always gave their suggestions when we ordered food, we don't have to look at the menu.. the desserts are excellent, like egg white almond soup, pumpkin bird nest soup, baked sago pudding.. etc.. i love all the food at Lee Yuen !

前言：三女二男到這兒吃午餐，合共約$650。食物： 1. 蝦餃、燒賣、帶子餃、鮮蝦腸粉：統統水準偏高，餡料鮮美，體積雖然不算太大，但質感相當討好。其中，蝦餃皮和腸粉夠薄，最為優秀！（推介！） 2. 叉燒包、奶黃千層糕：麵糰調校得相當香軟。千層糕雖然不算滑，但極香。叉燒餡濃稠和甜度剛好。（推介！） 3. 煎腐皮卷：餡料足和好味！煎得香脆可口。（推介！） 4. 蘿蔔絲酥餅、酥皮蛋撻：酥皮作得極優秀，香酥皮脆。（推介！） 7. 粉果、蒸魚肚、鮑汁花生雞腳：味道不俗，水準偏高。 6. 班片雜菌魚湯西施粉：一窩可分八個中碗。班片因泡過油而略油膩，雜菌滑溜清爽，西施粉跟米線差不多。魚湯鮮甜，似乎沒有下多少味精，因喝完不口渴。 7. 脆麻花：份量足，一盤約十條，味道中上。 8. 蛋黃蓮蓉壽包：九十元一打，麵包部份質素一般而已，蓮蓉餡料相當多，蛋黃只有一小粒（約手指尾指甲那麼細小），甜度適中。 9. 焗西米布甸、楊枝甘露、蛋白杏仁茶：統統足料，份量足！ 10. 壽眉茶：無茶味註： a. 這兒服務不俗，頗頗換碟、添茶、查閱點心到齊沒有、主動介紹粉麵飯和甜品。態度

a. 這兒服務不俗，頗頗換碟、添茶、查閱點心到齊沒有、主動介紹粉麵飯和甜品。態度不會太硬銷，相當有禮，令人心生好感。
b. 價錢比「富東」、「車氏」便宜，味道和服務都勝一籌。吃得飽飽的，相當滿足！

花鵰蒸king crab!

花鵰酒蒸阿拉斯加皇帝蟹!!! 淨係個名都好勁!! 味道仲超好食!!係就係有少少酒既苦味, 不過配合d 蟹肉味, 真係好得! 蟹味冇比酒味蓋過, 而且蟹肉厚到不得了!! 另外, 個"汁" 係黃色既, 其實我都唔知係蛋定係蟹黃, 總之就好配合, 只食d 汁都好好味!另外想講個甜品: 蓮子杏仁茶, 好香好香, 味道清得黎唔會冇晒杏仁味! 亦算係"少甜" 既系列~~ 可以一試! 係相像以外既好味!!

服務水準好、又好食，但太貴!!

剛剛於星期三晚上在此晚飯，當晚留了一間房，裡面只有一張大，空間很大，有小朋友就很好，有雨個侍應專門招呼，全晚招呼周到，重有成大班侍應唱生日歌，服務方面完全冇得彈。整體上食物質素很高，但碟頭實在太少，適合胃口比較少的人。我這次也試了之前食家所說的"白雪藏龍"，蛋白非常之滑，但龍蝦肉不太多；第一道螺頭湯，用料十足，非常清甜沒加味精，連湯渣都好好味；那條清蒸東星斑實在新鮮又蒸得很好，入口非常滑完全沒有渣；秘製貴妃就太小而且味道偏鹹少少，可再改進；糖水喝了紅棗皇燉雪耳蓮子，有很大粒的紅棗皇，香氣十足，但配料份量少了點；也試這裹很出名的擂沙湯丸，但不平宜，每粒計數；侍應建議加了每人一小杯的楊桃加檸檬汁，說有消脂、降固醇、美白等功能，真係誇張。跟其他食家的感覺一樣，價錢實在太貴，沒有吃這裡的鮑嵾翅肚，每人平均都要五百幾，翅最平$200一位，如果食其他鮑嵾翅肚，價錢就很利害了！但在這個價位，可能又有其他更好的食肆選擇。各位食家，可以試下！

水準好既時候就好食，但太貴，水準又飄忽

我平日同同事出去飲茶都係夾4-50估唔到呢度貴成咁，每人起碼夾成70，最離譜的一次要成90 :~~~~想慳d洗既人真係唔好成日去......好肉赤>__<個人recommend脆皮素鵝同蘿蔔絲酥餅，水準好的時候個素鵝係食過咁多間最正的，我未食過咁脆咁鬆化既素鵝~~之但係我第一次食咁好水準，到跟住1/2個禮拜之後再去就...唉! 雖然都脆，但係佢炸到好"火農"，整到個皮硬kok kok，2個禮拜ja bor!!d水準真係......搞咩鬼呢??至於蘿蔔絲酥餅呢...我食左幾次都無失到手既，聽人講呢個點心好出名，不過我覺得佢個皮雖然係做得最好，但個餡我就鍾意老正興整既多d(可惜我聽人講老正興執左...灣仔個間呀，真慘>__<)其他野都唔錯既，不過好多都係個idea得意，食落去都係好普通。例如陳村粉，叫左之後先發現同水晶粉無乜分別(70幾蚊細細碟呀，撞鬼!); 海鮮焗飯(好似係咁叫)原來係海鮮炒飯再用荷葉包住上碟，但係個飯炒到好乾同幾硬下，不過都幾鍾意佢用荔枝炒有d生果香味，都幾得意既。佢地既擂沙湯圓都好正，即叫即造，等10分鐘到。食個時小心入面既餡，真係好新

p.s.我聽其他人講呢度d waiter/waitress好白鴿眼，可能我地次次黎親都十幾人多人d可以做大d生意，所以感覺d service都算幾好。

三個人, 叫左個四人套餐, 800幾, 都算貴得黎ok, 因為招呼唔錯, 個侍應姐姐好似你阿媽咁, 見你食完碗麵或者糖水,就即刻幫你添. 有一味菜叫白雪藏龍, 白雪係蒸蛋白, 好滑好正, 龍即係龍蝦粒, 算幾特別. 其他菜如炸子雞, 清蒸石班都算有水準.
