友人 E 知我放病假,說要送點吃的給我補身,初頭還以為會是甚麼葡萄適、雞精之類,怎知原來是豬腳蛋薑醋一酲 ($260),哈哈,拿回家後,還被老公揶揄我莫非想老蚌生珠,真被他氣壞!其實豬腳薑營養豐富,又唔一定只適合婦女用作產後補身,近排天氣涼涼地,食番碗豬腳薑來暖暖胃也可以啊!老實講,個人來說,對吃豬腳薑唔算有特別偏好,但就頗鍾情入面的雞蛋,當然如果再加上鬆化的薑塊和腍身的豬腳,就更令人回味。由於已很久沒吃豬腳薑,所以回家後也沒等到放病假,已急不及待,趁週末有空,兩口子先煲了一點來吃。醋的香味唔錯,雖然是有點偏甜,但味道馥郁;雞蛋方面,咬下的確是有點偏硬,但就非常之入味,吃罷連老公都說要多加幾隻蛋於豬腳薑內再煲,好讓我下星期「坐月」時補身吃!  至於豬腳,愛吃肉的老公就盛讚它腍身得來又夠膠質,而薑塊就夠鬆化又沒有渣,薑味勁足,不過由於太辣,食一件已經教人大呼吃不消!

其實豬腳薑營養豐富,又唔一定只適合婦女用作產後補身,近排天氣涼涼地,食番碗豬腳薑來暖暖胃也可以啊!老實講,個人來說,對吃豬腳薑唔算有特別偏好,但就頗鍾情入面的雞蛋,當然如果再加上鬆化的薑塊和腍身的豬腳,就更令人回味。

近年來對於傳統月餅沒有多加留意,買的食的就只是大路品牌,美心、榮華、奇華……然後就是新式月餅的天下,冰皮月餅、雪糕月餅等等。口味多款,吃下去也沒有傳統月餅那麼油膩滯胃,自然而然成了新寵。要不是平時會去一下City's Super,剛好看到月餅展,也不會嚐到這款新品。此時才知道八珍原來都有出月餅,不只是醬料及豬腳薑等出品。迷你柚子紅莓月餅 $199  保持了傳統月餅的外形,但餡料可全是乾果系列。摒棄以往蓮蓉及伍仁的甜膩,此系列出品以健康輕盈為主打理念。除了這次提到的柚子紅莓,還有藍莓伍仁、無花果核桃等各款可選。購買時也可以混合多款口味入盒,十分簡明易做的方法。卻有客製化的成效,就是不知為什麼沒兩家公司會沿用此法。  這款柚子紅莓月餅當然就有柚子及小紅莓在內,酸甜果味夠清新。吃下去略帶咬口,實是醃製果乾的感覺,也很出味。另以腰果及芝麻作料,攜來點點脆口果仁香氣。沒有過份軟糯粉感,甜度溫和且恰到好處,就是那份果香有點像果皮味。一口吃下,如像平時吃到的伍仁月餅,只是果味酸甜香氣愈之升華而已。  雖然我太遲發現了,但如此走清新乾果路線的傳統月餅仍叫我耳目一新。不一定要冰皮,不一定要用新式賣相新式

  這款柚子紅莓月餅當然就有柚子小紅莓在內,酸甜果味夠清新。吃下去略帶咬口,實是醃製果乾的感覺,也很出味。另以腰果芝麻作料,攜來點點脆口果仁香氣。沒有過份軟糯粉感,甜度溫和且恰到好處,就是那份果香有點像果皮味。一口吃下,如像平時吃到的伍仁月餅,只是果味酸甜香氣愈之升華而已。
  雖然我太遲發現了,但如此走清新乾果路線的傳統月餅仍叫我耳目一新。不一定要冰皮,不一定要用新式賣相新式用料才會有驚喜。原來在無變化的軀體之內,體會到嶄新的一幕,更叫人感到新奇,印象深刻。大概這可以「反差萌」一詞來形容了,月餅亦然。

I made a few for myself. Yeah ... it seems a lot for one person but I LOVE TURNIP CAKE! Can't get enough. Pat Chun's turnip cake had nice chunks of daikon. It had some preserved sausages and mushroom bits. Upon frying, it held together well. The only problem was, it didn't taste very good. The pro was that it wasn't overly sweet and wasn't over done with MSG like some other brands I've tried. The con was that there was way too much flour and it tasted exactly like it. Starchy flour.

Walked past and saw some interesting Venison tendon dessert which is made with their famous sweetened vinegar.The attitude of the staff were not that friendly when I went in to purchase it.Luckily I took photos before I ate otherwise I would not have spotted the mould on the edges.Took it back and told them about the mould but they didn't really give a shxt. They were nice enough to give a refund without saying anything or bothering to inspect the mould because ironically there is a 7-day guaran

八珍糕品QC不夠認真
13-Jan 以$120買了一底紅豆糕,盒上註明期限至 20-Jan(=七天)。
回家即放雪櫃,隔一天拿出來吃,見糕面已出現白點(=發霉)。shocked
抹去白點後試吃,酸的!mad 家人都說是裡面的奶份變了質。
紅豆糕賣這價錢不便宜,應該做好些品檢啊! huffy
發誓今後不再買八珍紅豆糕!
不過他們售$155 的蘿蔔糕依然很好味。
之前也試過一次(幸好祇一次),買了很硬很深色的蘿蔔糕,極難吃!
證明他們QC不夠認真,顧客要睹運氣!

幸而甜度恰當, 整體算是合格, 不俗..只是原來的價錢偏貴..

舊年遲左買唔到榚, 本來都唔記得佢架啦…今年行過鬼鬼迷迷入左去, 咪買一個細蘿蔔, 一個蔗糖年榚試下囉! 好貴啊! 細細個, 兩個加埋都九十幾蚊啊! 心唸…. 如果唔好食我一定上網寫死你!點知…蘿蔔榚好好好味啊! 老公係蘿蔔榚精, 我就唔係好, 但係我都覺得好好味, 佢就更加讚口不絕啦! 蘿蔔同腊味比例好, 又香, 正! 一定有下次!相比蘿蔔榚, 年榚就無咩驚喜啦! 不過都好食架!
