之前和同事在午飯時間上山做運動,下山時總會路經這間餐廳,每次經過都想去試試。本來打算在開年日和妹妹一齊食一餐好的,所以「千里迢迢」走15分鐘來這裡。但誰知服務態度惡劣,門口雖然寫著lunch special $88,入到去就只提供貴價的散叫餐單,向店員詢問lunch special詳情時卻遭白鴿眼。只是過了短短十多分鐘已覺不舒服,於是毅然起身走人。走時卻被追討「水」費,說甚麼是樽裝水,倒了出來就已經要計錢。但她倒水前根本還未給我們餐牌,亦沒有說明那些「水」是要付費的。當我們跟她說「沒有喝過水,看了餐單覺得不是太適合」時,她還說甚麼「倒水時為甚麼沒有截停她」。花費$30事小,但無斷白事只是看了餐單就又要受氣又要出錢就真是不爽。不只沒有下次,更沒有第一次!

一定唔會再食,服務太差,阿姐好似只想做熟客,一聽到第一次嚟就黑面,又因為我係第一次嚟,唔知有咩好食,問黑面阿姐,完全HEA答咁話「我哋海鮮好出名,有魚有蠔囉」。海鮮就梗係呢類架喇,答完等於無答咁,見住個黑面神,食龍肉都無味啦!!佢應該都唔係將自己定位做平民餐廳,但佢嘅服務仲差過茶餐廳,單係服務已經覺得佢唔值呢個價錢,同區有好多更好嘅選擇,何必走上嚟斜路受氣!!

突然想食羊+沙律,在朋友的推介下試了Olala,一間在星街頂的法國餐廳,,佈置典雅,氣氛溫暖零靜,好適合三五好友把酒談心😊 最重要係服務一流👍Book位時己訂了份羊架,到了現場,工作人員再推介了時令沙律同美極麵(Maggi Lingin)比我哋試下。美味度已經不容置疑了,靚羊架香口又juicy ,小小份量既lingin 質感好煙韌, 加上我最喜愛的美極作調味,簡直錦上添花😂😂而全晚令我最驚喜嘅竟然係個沙律😍😍😍除咗係用自家特製沙律sauce外,餐廳老闆娘仲混入左時令嘅法國空運到港既"水珠菜"又叫冰菜。我本人比較無知,真係第一次見識呢種咁特別既菜,剛剛食時,還以爲菜雪太耐結了冰,口感亦小小似咬沙冰😆後來請教完工作人員先知,這是此菜之最大特色,而且供應期好短,所以大家要把握機會好好去感受下呢種正菜啦😆😆😆餐後餐廳還送上玫瑰提子比我們作飯後果👍👍👍 好,馬上貼上美味圖片幾張,引誘下大家食慾😂P.S. 聽工作人員講,中國已開始培植呢種菜,不過口感同法國的就完全唔同啦!

Food Quality

I remember I have tried the seafood platter a couple of years back and it was really good, fresh and yummy.... this time, it is a big disappointment, the oyster is the only thing that is ok, the shrimp was not fresh and the shellfish was tiny, really tiny, then there is nothing else except a crab...


The main course was just unacceptable, we had steak, roasted beef and fish fillet. The steak were very thin and tasted like it was out (later the waiter told us he has chosen the steak from the bottom of the shelf since they look big, that probably explains why). The roast beef was surprisingly alot thicker than the steak and was so dry, tasteless and hard even just to chew.


The selection of wine was very impressive though, with some wine directly imported from vineyard in France.

Service

The service was absolutely poor and not how I would expect in a restaurant that charges such a premium price. We were assigned to a table next to the back door, and there were people constantly moving stocks around with a trolley during our meal!!!


The waiter that served us was cheerful but lacked the professionalism, when we wanted to order appetizer, he told us no appetizer is avaliable from the menu since the head chef has just quited
then when we wanted to order some fillet for main course and enquired what kind of fish they are serving, he just told us the fish is those boneless one that tasted like cod fish (銀雪魚)


At the end, the restaurant agreed to cancel one of the 3 steaks, since that one is left untouched..........

Overall

With the hefty premium price, one would expect a some quality food and service, but you end up getting none. To me the most disappointing aspect was the restaurant has completely lost its heart and soul, judging from the previous comments in Openrice, seems the passion has long gone....

Marcos Certified Guijuelo黑豬脾風乾而成的火腿與意大利的Parma Ham有分別, 前者入口溶化香滑,有淡淡的火腿肉味.不需配以香蜜瓜進食,入口一點也不覺油膩! 再喝上一口紅酒更覺有層次感! 是Olala的賣點之一.
資料上提到Olala 每星期三和星期六都會有新鮮海鮮到店. 所以友人特別加上兩大盆 Seafood Platter, 有生蠔、蝦、螺、蟹…. 可惜的是生蠔有腥味! 其他的海產也沒覺特別新鮮! 但最令人奇怪的是這店的服務? 完全沒有介紹每一道他們送上檯的菜名? 包括與 Seafood Platter一起送上的醬料! 所以不知道當晚生蠔的品種? 和其他海產的來源? 當晚也無人考究? 我也只好默默進食! 接著送來每人一碟有三種顏色類似湯水的物體. 侍應看似沒打算介紹! 我再也忍不住追問? 侍應才開金口介紹磨菇湯, 蕃茄湯和魚湯三種. 但當上主菜時又舊病復發, 令我憶起當年身處美國的大型晚宴,大部份從Union請來的臨時工只負責上菜,不會與客人有對話! 再來每人一份Escargots焗蝸牛和一份foie gras煎鵝肝. Escargots味道怪異兼有沙! 當年曾在美國自己家中炮製, 只須到法國食物專門店買蝸牛殼和罐頭蝸牛肉, 再釀上蒜茸,牛油,鹽再加少量cheese和白酒焗即成. 蝸牛殼還可以保存在泠藏櫃內循環再用. 鵝肝本是我的至愛! 但Olala的還不如位于尖沙嘴樓上鋪Mistro$60一客的煎鵝肝令人回味!.
友人可能聽到我有問及為何侍應整晚都沒有介紹送上來的食物? 所以當送上來第一道主菜, 友人詢問這道是什麼菜? 以下對白很具有周星馳喜劇化,令人聽後啼笑皆非! 不妨與大家分享!
友人指著明顯是道雞的問: 這道是什麼菜? 回答: “雞囉!” 友人接著問” 以前是用法國來的雞, 想知道是什麼雞?” 回答: 走地雞囉! 這樣的答案等同沒答! 完全沒有菜名或略為介紹其製法! 當晚我若不是因為席上都是第一次食飯局的朋友, 又是朋友的悉心安排, 真想問侍應一句 ”乜隻雞看似豬咩?”! 接著送上來的三道菜也只介紹品種 “鴨” “牛” “鴿”. 不知道是否侍應以為我們這些白領一族已不懂得分何謂雞,鴨, 鴿, 鵝, 豬, 牛….! 這間法國餐館的服務水平真令人難以置信! 大開眼界! 永世難忘!

we ordered a seafood platter, some signature roast pig dish, and the shrimp spagetthi. First, the seafood platter was totally different from the description in the menu. But the waiter didn't tell us when we ordered it.Secondly, the signature roast pig dish was horrible. First, the seafood platter was totally different from the description in the menu. But the waiter didn't tell us when we ordered it.

Secondly, the signature roast pig dish was horrible. Tasted and looked like beef and the dish was super tiny.

Lastly the shrimp spagetti, i can't even see the shrimps. Anyhow, it is relatively the best dish.

We ordered a bottle of wine plus a bottle of water, and the total was HKD 2070. SUPER OVER PRICED. I could have a much better experience in another restaurant.

At the end of the dinner, while me and my friends were discussing about where to have dessert, the waiter intruded our conversation oddly. For that price, i'd expect better services.

頭盤點了沙律,沙律菜新鮮爽脆,蕃茄亦甜美多汁,亦附有我喜愛的火煎菜,所以我是滿意的。然而,主角其實是面頭的Poached Egg,真有衝動一啖「啜」佢入口。最後還是把蛋篤穿,讓蛋黃汁滲進沙律菜中,加以撈勻,滋味無窮。

對方想飲法式洋蔥湯,也苛打一客大家分享。送上來時,真的很香,味道亦濃郁對辦,同意Oli所講,芝士是少了點。

主菜由我來發板,要燒豬筋骨。揀這味,主要是因為用上西班牙豬去做,肉質一定唔會差得去邊。果然,燒得香口,肉質鬆軟,卻仍保持咬口,還帶些海鹽及黑椒的味道,我認為不錯。一碟三條骨,我不客氣,吃掉了兩條。

咸點不多,就此結束,接著就是四款甜品上場。首先來到的係鮮芒果蛋糕,蛋糕質地軟熟,忌廉不會太漏太多,反之鮮芒果肉份量充足,而且清甜,是意料之外的出色。

另一款是拿破崙,賣相都似樣既,碟皮也的確脆口鬆化,可惜的是吉士餡太多粗糙,既不香,也不滑溜,總的說未合心水。

最後的甜品係焗蘋果撻,竟然只收$35? 果然,一分錢一分貨。出品並不似是自家制,玉桂味欠奉,唯勝在剛剛焗起,夠熱,外皮仍鬆化。價錢雖不高。但真沒想過在法國餐廳會吃到這個水準的蘋果撻。

點睇點計,呢餐都唔值幾百蚊/ 位,叫做見識過就算,不會再翻兜。

店員是日推介食海鮮, 而且, 我們入黎時亦看見海鮮新鮮到. 朋友首先叫了一份魚柳扒, (Filet de Rascasse et chipirons) 魚肉, 非常之結實, 不會鬆散. 雖然肉質結實, 但感覺不鞋口, 而且我們食得出用材是新鮮的. 而且伴魚個醬汁, 是蕃茄加了魷魚, 非常有口感. 回家查了一查, Rascasse, 中文名, 就是我們係中式酒樓食慣食到熟既石班魚. 人人說Olala海鮮好, 是次牛刀小試, 的確有水準. 而且亦證明, 法國人, 真係識食.

另一個朋友, 要了一個燒排骨, (Traver de Iberique Bellota), 一看, 眼睇既感官令我覺得此排骨同美式既冇乜分別. 不過美式食品, 絕大部份都是歐洲傳入, 有相似是必然的. 味道, 排骨肉, 剛好離骨, 腍是非常腍, 但沒有美式的完全離骨, 一口能吐出一條乾淨無肉既骨頭出黎. 而且味道, 不同美式的, 只靠一個厚厚的醬汁; 味道, 是經由醃製過的豬排骨, 從內至外散發出來的.

而我就選了羊脾扒, (Gigot d'Agneau). 你我到知, 羊肉不用全熟, 一塊圓柱形的羊軍扒, 大概6至7成熟. 燒好再切片上碟. 羊肉, 嫩口, 羶味有但不重. 根本不用點什麼薄荷汁來除羶味. 而且自覺, 羊肉就是要有羶味才好食, 不過太羶當然唔得啦. 另外一讚, 又是好難做得不好食的薯蓉. 薯蓉. 稍為加了少少香料, 有牛油香之餘, 亦沒有搶去甜薯的味道. 整個Mash Potato, 稱得上是香甜.

我們邊吃邊談, lunch time, 人不多, 造就了一個非常清閒的環境. 而且, 這亦是法國人, 享受生活的其中一個方式.

再說, 是次飲用的水, 原來是evian私特別版. Olala既老細, 真的幾識去花心思令客人完全地享受一個豐富的午餐/晚餐. 雖然到而家, 我都覺得佢overpriced, 但始終值得去experience一下.

Marcos Certified Guijuelo----此是用吃橡果的黑豬脾風乾而成的火腿,與一般常吃到的意大利白豬火腿Parma Ham有分別,無需用其它生菓伴吃,就這樣直接放入口中,味道是剛好的咸,油脂感不多入口很軟滑,慢嚼下有淡淡的肉味.
Crevettes Roses 、蟹----這種粉紅蝦是最愛之一!這蝦在英國及法國的海域相當普遍,漁民捕捉後會立即用海水來煮蝦,所以吃時會帶有一點咸味,蝦籽味道鮮美配沙律醬同食味道更正!可形容為反轉蝦肚就係籽!
這種蟹的膏多但偏實,味道略淡,肉質亦是屬於有鮮味及結實.
法式燒雞----這次是用了走地雞來燒,難得出來的效果和法國春雞有八成相似!都能做到皮脆肉嫩多汁,收貨有餘!
燒黑豬肉----這款味道平平無奇,肉質結實得來不靱,配菜煮得爛茸的蕃茄甘荀洋葱味道反而不錯!
熱情果雪葩----自家制的雪葩有極濃的熱情果味道!每一口也像在吃冰凍的鮮榨果汁一樣.不過始終懷念一些味道比較特別的雪葩,如陳皮/甘桔!
法國提子----贈送的生菓,是否周老闆自家種不得而知,但每顆也甜美多汁是事實.
這次雖然吃不到足本的Seafood Platter心有不甘,但吃到回復了水準的燒雞也不錯!
看來....很快又會再來一次!

We went there to celebrate one of my best friend birthdays during May2009.I heard the restaurant before but never been there. After only 10 min, the 1st unexpected disappointment began. My wine, I asked for a wine by glass, the waiter didn't show me anything but just to fill up my glass, not any introduction abt the wine or any choice I may have or even the price. Anyway, the worst part is not his attitude but the wine. I dont know how much it charged but it is hardly for me to drink a wine like

I heard the restaurant before but never been there. After only 10 min, the 1st unexpected disappointment began. My wine, I asked for a wine by glass, the waiter didn't show me anything but just to fill up my glass, not any introduction abt the wine or any choice I may have or even the price. Anyway, the worst part is not his attitude but the wine. I dont know how much it charged but it is hardly for me to drink a wine like vinegar. It should be a vinegar with alcohol. I really wanted to complaint but I do not want to spoil my friend's birthday so at the end I still finished up that vinegar drink.

2nd disappointment, we ordered so called their famous seafood plate, do not expect a seafood plate cost more then $1,200 but due to my friend’s birthday and trusted their brand name, we still ordered it. From the menu, a seafood plate should include crab, Belon oyster etc. Oh my god, the 2nd disappointment began, no crab, no belon oyster. We asked for the reason and just replied with nothing were fresh on that day,so they changed everything with a cheaper grade of oyster and no crab. If it is the case, why don't they change the price as well or change the menu.

3rd disappointment, that’s not from us but from the next table. We heard someone complainted about their so called black pork, we also found the same issue cause never eat a pork taste like a lamb, what a amazing cooking !!
Beside all about the food, can you imagine how the service will be by only having 1 waiter to serve more then 20 ppl on that nite.
Guess the resturant may close down soon if nothing will improve.
