Out of all the dishes we tried, the dishes ranged from OK - YUM. This place is by no means outstanding, but the general food quality is good. 1. Burrata and tomato 10/10 YUMWhen you have a dish that simple, it's all down to the ingredients. The burrata cheese was so creamy/milky and so soft.  星期五約了朋友到高街的 Metropolitain 食午餐，這裡一向都是我最愛的餐廳之一，食極都未厭～今天適逢下雨天，天陰陰想食熱野暖暖胃先點了一個Mushroom Soup 磨菇湯，很濃郁Metropolitain 的牛骨髓是我的最愛，超級香同好味，每次來都必定要介紹朋友試！另一位朋友則選了 Beef Hanger，因正On Diet 所以請廚房加多少少菜，經理都非常helpful & friendly!最後則是這個Grilled Pork Loin，一樣十分出色，大家都食得好飽好開心～Metropolitain 是一間很有法式特色的小餐館，價錢合理，暫時去不了法國，唯有去住食飯頂住先～

港島西食評系列 ~關鍵詞：１個人、工作日午餐我在香港島的活動範圍，一般在銅鑼灣至上環，很少到港島西，以下２個原因，成就了我的港島西獨食記：1) 港鐵港島線延伸至了３個站 (西營盤、香港大學、堅尼地城)，交通便利，港島西獨食記的餐廳全是這３個港鐵站，10分鐘步程內；2) COVID--19疫情下，盡量不聚餐，工作日午餐多數１個人吃，有時間尋覓港島西美食。第１站：高街46號店名：Metropolitan餐廳類型：西餐--法國菜提前訂座：有點了Set lunch，包括以下的：#餐湯：當天的餐湯是扁豆湯，味道一般。#主菜：Fregola Sarda，珍珠意粉配魷魚圈、蝦仁、蜆肉、蕃茄醬，味道不錯。#甜品：另加15元配了芒果撻，芒果夠甜，撻底鬆脆，非常好吃！#餐飲：再加15元配凍檸檬茶，夏天喝，棒！總體感覺：店員都是外國人，客人也多數是外國人，感覺似是歐洲小鎮，食物味道不太合我的口味 (可能是太正宗)，定價相對高街其他餐廳稍高。

First time trying out this French place in SYP with a bunch of friends.Didn't expect much but turns out to be pretty great! It was six of us at 6.30 on a Tue. Runed into this one at 5:20pm to grab the last round of meal - Dunch ~~~ No food till 5:45pm, waiter replied me that only one chef, has to handle takeaway also, what ~~~ we are the only table for food at that time on site, we should have the priority due to no dine in the restaurant policy! We have to swallowed all the food and dessert in less than 15mins. Food is not bad to be honest, but drinks , nahhhhhhhh…

A quiet place on High Street for a quiet nice of light but delightful dishes. Probably the best is to keep to the starters. Take it as a place to enjoy the atmosphere. Burrata and TomatoesFresh burrata to clean the palate in between bites. Always a fan of cherry tomatoes so there is no way I would hate this. But can you make it at home? Yes. 由這店開業一直有來食飯、之前大廚老闆法國光頭哥主理時食物真的很好，但自從佢仙遊左之後、餐廳應該是賣左比其它餐飲集團，質素一直下降、有半年無來，朋友們提意，滿心歡喜來到，店內重新裝修，我們早一星期電話訂，枱來到時候居然要坐入口位一張奇怪位置的枱，這個無所謂、大伙兒肚餓立即下單，我點了烤春雞、朋友們點了炆羊肉，生牛肉，油封鴨，來到是賣相不錯，食落就出事，朋友的炆羊肉過了火候咬不開，油封鴨很乾，我的吼春雞第一口咬落很美味雖然有點鹹，第二口咬落就出事了怎麼肉是透明色的，雞肉內是生的未煮熟😳，立即吐出來跟經理投訴他同意給我煮一份新的，但等了又等等了又等45分鐘之後我們決定把我的烤春雞換成外賣帶走，回到家滿心歡喜，怎料切開想吃時…..怎麼內裏的肉又是生的一晚比你玩左兩次、朋友代我打電話去投訴，經理表示話願意賠償一刻烤雞給我，但是不用了，永遠也不想再來這家餐廳，大家下次去是切記不要叫吼春雞（未煮熟）

Metropolitan used to be a high quality French restaurant. Today it has fallen back to a standard which is to be expected from a restaurant chain. We had to wait 30 minutes for our very simple starters, which did not need any preparation (overs and foie gas pate - both cold). Then we had to wait another 45 minutes for our simple mains (fish and steak tartare). 小編跟幾個朋友去西環食飯但未夠鐘，於是去左附近搵間餐廳坐低happy hour飲杯野，先再去食飯。見依間餐廳都幾多人，環境氣氛都算唔錯，於是同朋友入左去。餐廳Happy hour drink list 選擇唔多，可以揀嘅snack小食更加少之又少，仲要19:00就完happy hour, 於是乎急急忙忙地每人叫左杯野飲先。雞翼一碟$88得五隻，味道偏淡而無味，煎得又唔夠香，要來伴酒真係一般，但實在無咩其他選擇可以考慮🥲

Saw this restaurant in my neighborhood for many years but never tried it until today. I thought it might be good because I often saw full of customers inside but today’s lunch was very disappointing. I paid $158 for a steak but turned out only have 5 think slices & it wasn’t taste as good as the waitress said it would be; the appetizer watermelon salad also taste very thin & not good. 偶爾發現小店，被牆身粉色法國地圖吸引🤎餐桌上早已放置menu及口罩套，可見小店用心地方飲品方面，點了黑咖啡及latte。飲品比想像中大杯，較實惠。黑咖啡味道不太苦，適合女生口味。若女生不喜歡太heavy咖啡，這間店的黑咖啡，值得一嚐。一杯飲下，也不會感覺高熱量，長胖。相反，Latte味道太差了。味道苦澀，完全飲不到奶味，建議不要嘗試latte。甜品方面，點了蘋果雪糕批。雲呢拿雪糕的味道與蘋果的味道很般配。雪糕的甜味中和了蘋果的少少酸味，蘋果批底也做得很脆🍎餐廳設有洗手間，環境乾淨。即使客人在餐廳逗留久了，也方便去廁所 整體感覺不錯，唯獨室內音樂播得太大聲，要以降低音量，營造舒適chill氣氛。另外，建議早上十時左右到店，人較少，不用等位😎

metropolitan絕對係大學時期回憶lunch 好食，抵，service好，慶祝考試完結/完sem必備！今次試佢既weekend brunch有生蠔 ， 頭盤好豐富，芝士足料，尤其croquette（見圖）main course seabass 調味一流，mashed potatoes非常creamy最後 極飽既情況下 個甜品platter都完全無令我地失望metropolitan卑以前仲好食希望下次可以free flow住試brunch，加198蚊 好吸引😂

是平日午餐時間，光顧的客人不多，選擇了近開放式大門的座位，風扇的微風 ，街外行人的聲音，悠閒的感覺午餐都是一般的選擇，選了紅菜頭沙律，簡單的組合，清新好吃，主菜選了 seabass，這個有驚喜，皮煎得香脆 ，肉有魚味，香草醬汁配合， 不錯的一頓午餐。

比較少黎西環呢邊食野飲野，原來呢邊既飲野地方比較早收。因為上一間飲野地方要打烊，所以我地去左呢間，果時Metropolitain其實已經差唔多收工，不過餐廳負責人都友善咁繼續招待我地。開左支酒，La Champine Syrah 2018, 甜，易入口。have a good time chatting  in a nice environment
