All the lunch sets are reasonably price with a large range of variety. Each set comes with salad, steamed egg and a choice of ice cream or coffee/ yuzu tea. Have heard of the Camlux Hotel for awhile since its grand opening last year. Finally had a chance to visit as we were near the area. The restaurant is not huge, but feels open and spacious especially compared to the eateries at KITEC nearby. We went for the lunch menu and ordered a few dishes to share. Most of the lunch sets came with either soup or salad, plus tea or coffee. The soup of the day was pumpkin soup, which was creamy and tasty. Preferred it over the salad which was more ordinary. Amongst the mains my favourite was the Hainanese Chicken Rice, as each component was satisfying. The chicken pieces were all soft and boneless - great for both adults and kids. The soup had a nice herbal taste and not too salty. The rice was quite unique as lemongrass was used - it was fragrant and not oily. The All Day Breakfast came in double pieces of whole meal toasts, eggs, bacons, sausages and potatoes, with a large piece of baked tomato and a bowl of baked beans. Perfect for sharing or for someone with a big appetite. The Scallop Linguine came as a smaller dish but with two large pieces of scallops, which balanced well with the tender linguine in a rich creamy sauce. The coffee was of good standard. Having visited many times this was my first time to try their set lunch (only available on weekdays). The two course lunch sets ($88-$128) include a drink and an optional churro dessert for a $10 - great value compared to the normal a la carte menu. The first course is either soup or salad, and I love the fact that there are a few soups and salads to choose from. I opted for the vegetable gazpacho, a tomato based soup served chilled, which was very refreshing. For the main course I had the Angus beef burger with cheese and 63 degree organic egg. It was served with fries (huge serving too!). The egg came in a separate small plate so I put it inside the burger myself - although half of the runny egg ended up on the plate. I usually find burgers either too oily or too dry - but this one was different - the cheese was subtle, the meat patty was cooked just right and the runny egg formed a nice "sauce". Overall a great burger! It was sunny but not too hot so we sat at the outdoor area. The light breeze and the sea view made it so relaxing. Towards the end somebody started smoking cigar at the table next to us, otherwise we would have stayed longer.…查看更多

Passed by this lane and found this new restaurant that has a lunch menu with both western sets and Singaporean laksa. The place was crowded at lunch time but there was an empty table so decided to give it a try. Ordered the Hainanese Chicken Laksa. The chicken (served separately) arrived first - the meat was tender (although had a few pieces with almost all fat) and the condiments (garlic sauce and ginger) were pretty tasty. The laksa soup came next - I asked for less spicy so they put the extra chili paste on the side for me to take out - it was just the right mix coz the soup was already quite spicy for me. Came here for a mid-week lunch. Booking is a must as it gets quite full. Ordered the salad and dessert buffet plus a pasta to share with my partner.  Salad BuffetA great variety of both meat and vegetarian dishes. The hot soup (two types) was a great addition too. Everything was fresh and tasty (except for the octopus salad). My favourite of the day was the croquette - served warm with nice potato and ham fillings - made me go for a second one! Homemade Tagliatelle with Ragu SauceThe pasta tasted soft and fresh - blended well with the sauce (a tomato based sauce with a few tiny chinks of tender beef) which felt rich without being too heavy. May be I had too much expectation due to the Michelin star award - I was a bit disappointed with the food (no wow factor). Nonetheless the service was very good and the ambience was perfect for an elegant yet relaxing lunch.We each ordered the 3 course lunch set - at $288+10% including tea/coffee it was quite good value.First came the bread basket with butter. The bread was crispy and warm, tasted ok. My first course was the French Onion Soup - it was rich and cheesy without feeling too heavy. Probably my favourite dish overall. For second course I had the Escagots - the dish looked small but there were quite a few pieces of escagots - the sauce was a bit salty but well balanced with the cubed mushrooms. The Sea Bass which was my main course was a slight disappointment. The fish was rather tough and didn't taste fresh. My partner's Lamb dish looked and tasted much better. For dessert we tried the Chocolate Ganache which was served with raspberry sorbet - well balanced ingredients and went quite well with my cappuccino. The restaurant was quite full during Sunday and our waiter kept reminding us of the booking and we had to leave soon (both before and after our dessert arrived). Could feel he was quite stress. Was attracted by the decor of this cafe. The indoor area was full so we took a seat outside. After we ordered somebody started smoking - fortunately there was an empty table inside so we moved back in. Loved the pop style chair design and the quote made with alphabet cups at the coffee bar. Together with the music around its a good place to relax and get inspired. I tried their R&b coffee which was one of their signature drinks. Presentation was great and the coffee was rich and creamy - probably too sweet for taste but those who are looking for a dessert type drink would love it.…查看更多

Came here for lunch for the first time.  Tried their siganature "Pad Thai" which was actually squid ink spaghetti instead of the usual flat rice noodles.  The presentation was great as you can see in the photo - as colourful as you could get.  It was served with a soft baked egg on the side that you could mix into the noodles.  With all the right spices and toppings (dried chili powder, fish sauce, fresh lime, dried nuts, etc.) the dish tasted just like pad thai, but healthier with the extra vegetables.  The al dente pasta fit surprisingly well with the traditional thai ingredients to arrive at this interesting fusion dish.  My only complain was that the size was too small - needed a few other shared side dishes (also quite small) to complete the meal.   Like most restaurants at IFC it is slightly overpriced for what you get, but at least the food is nice and creative here.  …查看更多

Apparently this place specialises in both ramen and yakitori skewers.  For lunch they offer sets with both (plus a side salad).  The salad was small but had a good mix of variety.  The signature prawn miso ramen had a rich and slightly spicy soup base, which was quite tasty and unusual.  The ramen noodles were quite chewy.  There was an additional charge for the onsen egg (which I didn't actually order but decided to have it anyway), which was soft and tasty.  The skewers plate, which arrived a bit later, was not particularly memorable (didn't finish) and I found everything a bit dry - some real grilled meat instead of sausage and dried mushroom (and/or some sauce) would have been better.    …查看更多

The pho bo (beef rice noodle soup) tasted better than my last visit several years ago.  There was plenty of fresh basil and the rice noodles were soft and fresh.  The beef was of relatively good quality.  The broth seemed to be on the artifial side though (meaning with MSG).    Came with a free drink with the afternoon set.  Overall not bad for Central.  …查看更多

Came here alone and got seated at the bar table near the entrance, which was a bit cramped.  There was also no space under the table to put my bag.  My first visit so asked the waitress for recommendation, but she simply aksed me to read the menu...Ordred the negi (spring onion) ramen as I mainly wanted to experience the soup.  Turned out to be quite plain with just spring onions (tasted local, not Japanese) and eggs.  The soup was interesting (fishy, oily but on the salty side) while the noodles were ok.There was a Japanese man next to me who had the tsukemen - may be I should have tried that instead.  …查看更多

I think this place may have changed owners as the front sign looks different (a green, slicker sign).  A menu was displayed at the ground floor entrance of the basement restaurant.  Was attracted by the $18 afternoon tea set so decided to give it a try. It was 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and the place was almost empty except for another occupied table and some staff sitting around.  Orderd the samosa tea set.  The hot lemon tea quickly arrived.  After awhile the samomas were served - to my surpise it was nicely presented with some side salad leaves and green sauce.  The samosas were pipping hot and tasted fresh.  Not what you would expect from a HK style cafe.  I think the chef is Indian. My first visit to Lawry's.  Was weary about the price tag but the lunch sets turned out to be great value.  The setting was nice too - comfortable seating and good service.  Ordered the prime rib set ($308) and the salmon set ($288) between me and my partner.  Both first courses (soup of the day & signature salad) were ok, not particularly memorable.  Then came our mains - the prime rib was carved in front of our table and served with yoshire pudding, mashed potatoes and spinach (self selection). The prime rib looked rare compared to the "medium" we requested, but turned out to be just right - juicy, warm and tender.  Our other main (salmon) was surprisingly good - it was cooked perfectly and simply melted in the mouth!  Coffee and tea included in both sets. The prime rib set also came with dessert - a dark chocolate cake served with ice-cream - good ending to a great meal.…查看更多

Came here for an early Sunday brunch.  It was fairly quiet and we chose a table on the patio outside.  There was both the usual menu and a separate brunch menu.Scrambled Egg with Crab MeatI chose this as it looked the most interesting from the brunch menu.  The egg serving was huge, and there was generous amount of crab meat.  It was delicious.  The potatoes on the side were quite ordinary.  Texas BurgerMy partner ordered the Texas burger which was also huge.  However it was rather disappointing as the hamburger meat was dry and overcooked.  To compensate the fries were done well.  Service was friendly and overall it was a nice place to chill out, although the food was probably a bit overpriced.  …查看更多

Read about this restaurant and its healthy ramen from the media when it first opened, but could never find it until I accidentally bumped into it when passing by the market stalls at the end of Stanley Street (despite the address being on Wellington).  The place looked like a cross between a traditional Japanese ramen house and an izakaya.  The menu featured mainly ramen items but there were signs posted on the wall featuring various izakaya food items.  Decided to try the healthy ramen - they come as a set with 3 choices of ramen - I went for the "Beauty" set.  The set came with a small salad and a bottle of yakult, which was interesting.  The salad was served too cold, although the yuzu salad dressing was quite nice.  When my bowl of ramen arrived, was a bit disappointed to see the lack of toppings (just a few slices of green leaves and bacon bits) compared with the picture on the menu.  The soup tasted quite unique - salty and yet citrusy.  The noodles were chewy but didn't seem freshly made.  It wasn't till I almost finished the whole bowl that I noticed the red ginger and spicy raddish toppings on the table.  Took some to try but found them too preserved, and the raddish was super spicy.…查看更多
