Crystal Jade, known for its excellent Chinese cuisine however infamous for its terrible service. Me and my family were expecting to have a fine experience in the Crystal Jade however left disappointed.My grandfather who is disabled had to use the toilet, it took him some time to use the toilet and get out/back of his wheelchair. The workers asked my dad, who was sitting at the table waiting for us, to leave the table. When my grandfather got back, eating his food at his own slow pace due to his weak breathing system, the workers told us to leave again because “table time was up”. It’s acceptable to ask customers to leave if customers are physically capable however asking a disabled person to hurry up eating just to simply earn more revenue is truly unacceptable and not the service any restaurant should offer.Michelin restaurant, yes, but terrible, truly terrible service. …查看更多

Chung’s Kitchen is a Chinese oriented Restaurant. It holds Chinese values and traditions and this can be seen by the decor and interior of the restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant to foreigners and locals who has an appetite for Chinese cuisine. Especially recommend this to foreigners due to the ability of the staff to speak bilingual hence upgrading your dinning experience (can cater your orders without confusion, etc) since not all Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong have staff who are bilingual. At the same time the location of the restaurant allows you to eat and shop afterwards. In terms of food it’s definitely worth to try. The presentation is simple yet appealing. The taste is appetising and savoury. Of course it depends on what you order and prefer since most of food (see photos) I ordered were fried and other local Chinese cuisines which I found appetising and savoury. The toast box is a great place for serving ‘typical Asian’ breakfast or tea time crunches. By Asian I mean toast box offers instant noodles with egg, toast with a good toast and the local Hong Kong Milk tea! Personal favourite is the double hamburger with egg dish. Love the setting and atmosphere of Pepper lunch as it’s very casual and a good place to have lunch or catch up with friends. (Should not go if it’s a formal meeting though) The idea of the dishes, it’s served in a sizzling hot plate where you have to ‘cook’ your own food, definitely can’t be find elsewhere which is what makes Pepper Lunch unique and tasty. Most of the dishes they serve have a good variety of the food pyramid, there’s vegetables on the side (corn, beans, etc) with meat and a cup of rice, definitely a way to go. The Nights Market, a simple fusion where modern meets traditional. Must say the restaurant provides exquisite taste and in ordinary food. A nice restaurant if you’re looking for a more local yet modernised palette. Famous for the beef noodle, fried rice and fruit tea. All a must try! King’s Dumplings offers Taiwan Cuisine to the table with reasonable price. Highly recommend the Xiao Long Bao, fried rice with chicken, spicy peanut noodle, and fried tofu with seasonings. Very lovely place for a casual hangout and not too expensive on the bill, definitely would recommend this restaurant if your tourist or just people in general craving for Taiwanese Cuisine. Wu Kong Shanghai Restaurant serves traditional Chinese cuisine to the table. They are most famous for the Hairy Crab Cake with Steamed Rice. I’m not a fan of seafood but I had a bite however let us avoid the biased criticism on seafood haha.Must say the services were above satisfactory. Booked a table for 6 people turns out there’s 9 of us, we all got there and only wait for a few minutes and got a table even though it was during peak hours. The waitress made an exception for us and combined two tables together, very nice yes. Food was lovely, highly recommend the egg white fried rice and hairy crab cake with steamed rice (only if you fancy seafood).Ordered Peking Duck but wasn’t the best, definitely cannot be classified as their specialty. Social Place has a unique modern design that gives it a lively and entertaining look. There are 80s themed decorations placed in wooden shelves however with the specific vibrant lighting illuminating off the marble counters and tables, it’s just something you can’t find elsewhere. The food is essentially delightful. It incorporates traditional Chinese cuisines with a hint of modern styled cooking. Instead of authentic fried rice, they serve yellow rice which is definitely not traditional Chinese food. Nevertheless the food is delightful and profound.The steamed buns is what they were really famous for. The steam buns would come out as cartoon figures such as cute pigs, or flowers. Burger Room serves big juicy American burgers, would highly recommend if you have a big mouth haha. I must say it is mouth-watering food as I became really hungry just by the smell of it. Fortunately, the service was fast and the hygiene of the restaurant is appreciated. I tried 4 types of burgers but I do recommend the bacon one because nothing can go wrong with bacon The burgers range from $80-130HKD whilst the drink was $20-40 for a snapple, in my opinion the drinks are overpriced so might as well bring your own beverage. Shanghai Lao Lao is a quality Chinese restaurant. The fast paced atmosphere of Shanghai Lao Lao and a dash of modern are one of the few elements why the restaurant is more than satisfactory. Not only is the pricing reasonable but the food is served in sufficient amounts. Truly the best combination there is. At the same time, it’s geographical location is highly favourable especially to tourists.If you’re a tourist looking for a place to eat that serves Chinese cuisine, Shanghai Lao Lao is the one. Its contemporary interior gives the restaurant a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere which makes you, tourists, not feel alienated when going in. The Pond HK has a profound taste in modern interior, very nice, and serves a wonderful palette to the table. Good blend of contemporary designs and Chinese cuisine, not something you’d find daily.
