The ambience of the place is superb, the costume of the waiters and waitresses definitely add to the atmosphere. With the great service and the relaxing environment, it's for sure a great meal! The freshly baked bread; banana bread (comes with a speaks dip), beer bread, cheese salami bread, was a surprise. The were so delicious!!! For appetisers, a seafood with sea urchin and avocado and a Bacalhau were ordered. The combination of the seafood was quite innovative although it wasn't the best. The Bacalhau was really good, it came in small pieces. Unlike the Bacalhau I have tried before, it wasn't too salty nor mixed with too much potato. It was deep fried golden brown.
The Seafood Rice with Boston Lobster, crab, shrimps and clams was good but compared to the Roasted Suckling Pig with Mashed Potato and vegetables, it was not as tasty. The skin was so crispy that I'm sure the person sitting next to me can hear the crunch. The meat was still juicy and tender.
The desserts were well presented. However, the cinnamon in the Figs Tart stewed in Port Wine with caramel ice cream has overpowered the sweetness of the figs. The caramel flavour was intense. The Algarve clementine gratin with mandarin orange sherbet was good but the sherbet worth a thumb up.
