The restaurant is on Hill Road, which is really close to the HKU MTR station and campus so it is a very convenient spot for meals. However as it is not on a main road and the location is more hidden than other restaurants, we did not have to wait for a table and the place was not too crowded with students. The place is famous for their adorably decorated dim sums so we ordered a few. We had the barbecued pork buns which was made to look like a chubby face of a pig and the fried taro duck pieces.
We ordered the steamed beef balls and pork spare ribs which were flavourful but too oily for my liking. The siu mai and shrimp dumplings were generic and milder than I expected. The set rice that we ordered came with a pot of bubbling spicy thick sauce with eggplants. We enjoyed that as it was actually not too spicy and satisfying.
All in all it was a good meal and I must admit that the cute animal shaped dim sums really caught my eye. The price is reasonable so would recommend if you are near HKU.
