Well, it was our first encounter at this famous top 10 restaurant of Openrice. Let's begin with the settings. The decoration was very European, and it is so warm that i had to take off my jacket. It was definitely a very good place to visit in winter, to celebrate x'mas and new year.We ordered what the other crtics at the site recommended: pan fried goose liver, melted cheese, seafood rolls and ox tail.They were all wonderful except for the goose liver which carried so much aroma of wine, as
Let's begin with the settings. The decoration was very European, and it is so warm that i had to take off my jacket. It was definitely a very good place to visit in winter, to celebrate x'mas and new year.
We ordered what the other crtics at the site recommended: pan fried goose liver, melted cheese, seafood rolls and ox tail.
They were all wonderful except for the goose liver which carried so much aroma of wine, as my friend complained,"it's like taking a glass of red wine". And the seafood rolls were not made of seafood but only with a prawn on the top of them instead; nevertheless, the lobster sauce was just great for going with the rolls.
ox tail was as tender as expected and recommended.
I faked it as it was my friend's birthday when i made the reservation on the phone as to order the famous chocolate house. well, it's not as delicate as expected: i thought it was like a house made of chocolate walls with chocolate candys in it; instead, it was only cream inside. Anyways, my friend looked happy (were u really?) when i said it was the compensation for her birthdays in the last 2 years when i was not around.
The service was just right. One thing worths mentioning is their excellent selection of wine, although i was not allowed to drink much, i would tell from their wine list and the only glass which i was permitted to have.
We took pics in the hotel after the meal.
I had a wonderful evening and i hope my friend did too. To be honest, i am still in the same mood as last night, and i know it will last for quite some time.
