Made reservations for 12:30 lunch with 3 pax (2 adults 1 toddler). Showed 20 min early because eating with a young toddler is never a smooth experience. My wife was quite looking forward to this experience. Place was 70% empty but were directed to a cramped 3 top in a corner that could not fit us. We asked to be accommodated to a 4 top booth seat towards the back of the restaurant that can fit all of us and the baby’s pram. Mind you there were four or five more four tops all of which were empty.

The waiter was just disinterested and refused to hear us out as he claimed the restaurant was fully booked for lunch and in his words, IMPOSSIBLE to move us to a different table. Went back and forth with them for about 20 min, switched to a different waiter, same attitude. If they let us move to a different table we would’ve ordered and begun eating for the amount of time we wasted with these guys. Didn’t give us any options except the original table. Spoke to a third waiter, same level of indifference. Became quite evident they didn’t particularly care for our patronage nor our business.

I could summarize our entire experience as you will do what we say you will do and tough cookies if you don’t.

Guess the Hong Kong hospitality industry must be booming again if they can remain in business with such disdain for potential new customers.
