鑑於之前滿多OK的評分,曾經想打退堂鼓去返BLT食brunch. Anyway, here I came. The buffet lunch was okay but given the price (HKD 300 @) and its variety of food, I would like to give it a higher rating. First of all, you don't want to miss the firm and crispy textured shrimps. They had a pure flavor that I skipped the dipping sauce. So were the jade whelks- fresh, chewy, and sweet. First of all, you don't want to miss the firm and crispy textured shrimps. They had a pure flavor that I skipped the dipping sauce. So were the jade whelks- fresh, chewy, and sweet. Of course, not all of them were jumbo size but the smaller ones were as tasty as the bigger ones.
Unlike some of others mentioned before that the crusher claws were salty and rubber-like, I was fortunate enough to pick the good ones. They were again, firm, juicy, and sweet. But, you had to act fast because many people were crazy about them as we were. I spotted some took like 15 pieces once @.@
However, I had to admit that the Australian oysters were just fair. They were fresh, crispy, but not much after taste. For sure, who would expect Gillardeau for a $300 meal? Above all, now isn't really the oyster season. Maybe we should come back another time for the oysters.
Other dishes like the steamed fish, siu-mei, made-to-order noodles, sashimi, and tempura veggie were ordinary. That was not a bad thing at all . One highlight was the braised beef shank. It was tender and well balanced.
I probably had too much before that I could only try out the sesame dessert soup which was exactly how I liked it- not too sweet and full of flavor.
