what a fool i was! what a fool, what a fool! to believe lei garden in all locations are created equal!wrong, wrong, wrong! this one in tsim sha tsui is definitely the dungeon compared to one in ifc2. no offense intended, but this one is in the basement of a dilapidated building, without any sign on the street. is it too shameful to announce its presence?believe me, the dim-sum here is just ok and nothing exceptional. but don't try to save on a bus or ferry fare by not going to the ifc2 location

believe me, the dim-sum here is just ok and nothing exceptional. but don't try to save on a bus or ferry fare by not going to the ifc2 location (if you live away from the island). unless if you are prone to claustrophobic attack in the harbor tunnel, or fearful of a shipwreck on the star ferry.
luckily once we sat down, we saw the typical nostalgic interior of a basement dim-sum house back in the old past. it meant to be without windows but walls all around!
these dim-sums are ok, not too oily too:
hometown steamed pork dumpling 家鄉烝粉果
shrimp in noodle wrap 蝦腸粉
seared beef dumpling 牛柳生煎包
but the stirred fried vermicelli with eggplant 茄子米粉 was soggy with oil, despite tasty with the special sauce.
the dessert red dates sticky cake 紅棗糕 was quite good and full of red dates taste.
to be fair, i can still believe this lei garden might have good dinner dishes. but i won't come here anymore for dim-sum in a dungeon.
