Friday 12th - Lunch - 6 people - Average cost - 125 hkd/person
Hardly anyone when we entered around 12:30pm, service was very good quick and the food was awesome.
1 Mini tiffin, 1-Dosa, 4-South indian meals, 1-Paratha masala, 1-Kaseri
Mini tiffin was very good all the items (idly, dosa, sweet, pongal, vada) were fresh and tasty. Sambar was amazing, tasted like the original one in my home town (Chennai/madras) from where sangeetha is originally.
Slowly the place got crowded and was almost full around 1:30.
Our last order was few coffee and tea (indian-chai), was serverd pretty fast, coffee could have been better. but overall was ok compared to any other place.
The standout was definitly the choice of items and the perfection in taste like the original restaurant.
Also to mention that there is no other Authentic "south Indian" restaurant in Hong Kong of the same level.
Saturday 13th - Dinner - 4 people - Average cost - 125 hkd/person
Items ordered - 4 mini tiffin, 2-Sambar Vada, 1-Dosa, 3-coffee.
When we entered there were not many people (7.30pm) and got our first order really quick.
Food was not as good as previous day, but acceptable, and tasty. The issue was, couple of the items were not fresh (kesari and pongal)
As time went by the place turned into a mad house, all the tables were full, and they were grossly understaffed. It took us about 45 mins to get the next order we placed. They lost the bill once and returned to check the order.
題外話/補充資料:
- Food is very good. Keep up the job. Try to make it fresh for all the meals.
- The space inside the restaurant is luxury as per HK stds. Where there is usually no place to walk in between tables. Here it was neat and spacious and well designed.
- Cost is little on the higher side. But considering that they don’t have any real quality competition, we have to accept.
- Their only competition is right opposite to them on same floor, and the food is terrible there.
- Very few staff to handle the crowd. Probably it was just the first week and they were not prepared to handled it, or did not expect it.
