Passed by Tai Wai the other day and found this traditional Chinese restaurant with lantern decorations outside, checked their Roasted Goose & Pigeon Set menu was quite reasonably priced so I went in for a casual dinner. The set included 4 dishes, including the Signature Roasted Goose 新強記燒鵝皇 - flavourful with the marination and ample goose oil notes from the fattiness. The Roasted Pigeon 金牌燒乳鴿 was also a popular item, with 2 whole birds included in the set for 2, good value! We also got to choose

We also got to choose 2 more from 20+ dishes, I tried the Deep-fried Squid with Pepper Salt 椒鹽鮮魷 and Eggplants with Minced Pork in Claypot 漁香茄子煲. Both were homey dishes and you just need a few bowls of rice to go with them.
All in all, it’s a nice place if you wanna find classic & homey Chinese dishes in Tai Wai!
