After a food show hosted by a famous actor, this cafe has started to become even more popular. Initially i planned to eat at their soup rice outlet and after seeing the massive crowd, i went over to their noodle outlet. 村爺爺車仔麵 was located at Hamilton Street, around couple of minutes walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR.Being a cart noodle cafe, they served several choices of noodles and side dishes. Being a cart noodle cafe, they served several choices of noodles and side dishes. Price varied for different side dishes and they do have set as well.
I asked for lobster soup base and it was clear and tasty, with slight lobster taste. E noodles were smooth and chewy, not too overly soft. Fried chicken wings were crispy and juicy, curry fishballs were slightly spicy and chewy, fried squid roll were juicy and chewy as well. Fish cake were chewy and smooth, able to taste the freshness.
