I've had the cheap buffets in Novotel Wan Chai and Novotel Nathan Rd, not good but eatable. I had other cheap buffets before so I know what to expect, but this is real place really really poor quality.First off, the place is very noisy and chaotic, food arrangements are terrible. There is a long slow queue for the seafood, and people kept on pushing in, complained to staff but they didn't care. First off, the place is very noisy and chaotic, food arrangements are terrible. There is a long slow queue for the seafood, and people kept on pushing in, complained to staff but they didn't care. The sushi and sashimi were horrible, only some of the shell seafood were ok at best.
Hot foods were a joke, tasteless, small selection, very cheap and nasty. Soups were essential salted water, congee was just soggy plain rice, and so on.
There is only hot drinks included by means of coffee machine, although not nice, at least it was drinkable. The desserts were just miserable and really disgusting. Easily one of the worst desserts of any buffet I've ever had.
The staff were plenty and were generally nice and pleasant. This was a speed buffet, only 1.5 hours of which 20m+ is queuing for the seafood, but didn't really matter as it was so bad anyway.
