Not what you expect from intercontinental

We dined using the Hsbc special with omakase set of $1499 (plus 10%) for two people. Even with that discount it is on the high end of what the restaurant offers! While nothing wrong with the service it is not what I expect of intercontinental. You definitely don’t feel like you are dining at a hotel perhaps a local Japanese restaurant but paying five star hotel prices. I will not go back again even with the special. imagine anyone paying full price. A glass of wine (at least $240 for a glass

A glass of wine (at least $240 for a glass from memory) is probably three times more than what you will pay in a nice cosy restaurant in central.
