In a cloudy evening with the golden sun having set, my friend and I decided to walk from the Museum of History to this restaurant to have some exercise before the meal, as well as working up our appetite. This pizza place was recommended by my friend since her last dining experience here was great. We ordered a chicken and avocado salad, a medium-sized Texas Pizza, a beer and a strawberry smoothie. I knew nothing about this place before I entered it. Upon spending a few more minutes reading the menu and looking at the waitresses, I knew that it was run by Indians and I immediately ordered a chicken tikka masala with garlic naan, which proved to be one of the best moves I have ever done in my dining experiences.
The drinks were fine. The Texas Pizza was not too good or too bad. It was acceptable. The salad was a bit disappointing since the chicken was a bit overcooked and the texture of the chicken was hence damaged. The chicken was chewy, stringy, and dry. The seasoning, though, was great. After we finished the pizza and the salad, a 20-minute wait was gone and there came our chicken curry and garlic naan. The garlic naan, in my opinion, was one of the best menu items you should order in this restaurant.
Perhaps I do not have the palate for the genuine Indian cuisine. I could not flatter myself that I had an exquisite dinner here. However, the hospitality and attentiveness of the waitresses added the icing on the cake. Although there was one young seemingly having her head in the clouds, the really active waitress always smiles while serving us and the other diners - a great model of a cordial and hospitable waitress.
