We have been longing to try this cafe but was always full house. Knowing that they just opened few days ago, we decided to try our luck during this weekend. Fusion Tens was located at Entrepot Centre, just beside APM at Kwun Tong. When we arrived at around 2pm, there was still a long queue forming outside. When we entered the cafe, we knew what the hype was all about. Their seating was separated into indoor and outdoor arrangement, with indoor having only few tables. Most of their seating was outdoor, with one part having triangular shaped camping tent. There were plenty of areas for us to take photo of. They served appetizers, salad, pizza, pasta, risotto, mains, drinks and desserts etc.
As the weather was hot, we ordered 2 iced drinks. Strawberry smoothie was mixed with strawberry, yogurt, syrup and lemon juice. It was blended till smooth and creamy, sweet and with strong strawberry taste. Rose and lychee soda was gassy and refreshing, with rose nectar, lychee juice, butterfly pea juice and soda water. Lychee was sweet and juicy.
Thai beef salad - Even though the price for salad was slightly expensive, it more than makes up for their generous portion. It consisted of salad, sliced pineapple, tomato, red onion, garlic and sliced beef etc. Sliced beef was tender and juicy and salad was fresh and crunchy, with Thai sweet and sour sauce helping to make it slightly spicy and appetizing.
Seafood Tom Yum linguine - It was one of the better tom yum linguine I have tried recently, with the pasta cooked till chewy and flavourful, with strong tom yum taste, sour and spicy in taste. Seafood came with prawn, scallops and clams etc, which were fresh and chewy.
Thick cut pork chop with tomato burger - The portion was huge, enough for 2 person serving. Pork chop was a pleasant surprise, grilled till really soft and chewy, one of the best I have tasted recently. Burger was toasted till soft and fluffy, with the fries soft and crispy. Ketchup was provided to dip with the fries.
