Mrs. Pound, Located in a facade of stamps and a door without a lever, the secrecy of having access to the restaurant made it more luring. Walking right in front of the door, I was dumbfounded. When it comes to the food: we tried the essentials: the corn, the chicken skewers with mint sauce, grilled mushrooms, and the bibimbap redefined. All came quickly enjoyed with cocktails. The grilled corn balanced sweetness with the spice and cheese, a medley of flavors perfectly synched. Like a true appetizer, it opened up my taste buds. The chicken skewers are albeit tough to chew on and the mushrooms were just mediocre. Then I heard the sizzling bibimbap coming with an aroma that sticks to you. Served in a clay pot, it sizzles, fragrant in southeast Asian spices, vibrant in colors, you mix it all together. It was a perfect definition to fusion cuisine. The rice could be eaten as it is. It made up for the mediocre skewers. The bibimbap redefined reminded me of how I could not let go of rice in my diet.
I ended a meal with my senses on full adrenaline. Like a great entertainer as I could have imagined, mrs. Pound will guarantee you will be back for her.;)
