Start the meal with two palate-freshening appetisers, which includes pickled lotus roots and scallop skirts. The steamed egg custard was velvety smooth and eggy.

The platter came with a good selection of seasonal delicacies, with 牡丹蝦、劍魚腩,、羽太、鰈血印. All of the seafood are delivered from Japan daily, and I throughly enjoyed every single piece.

It’s not the ordinary thinly sliced pork Shogayaki! The thick cut Kagoshima pork was breaded then deep fried to golden perfection, served with Shogayaki sauce and sweet onions.

The lunch set came with a bowl of 五目飯 and a miso soup. The rice was cooked with chicken, carrots, mushrooms and egg, and the rice absorbed all kinds of flavours, which was perfectly go with the main dish.
