Chef’s Assorted Sushi Platter- The fish selection was pretty decent; every piece was fresh and sweet especially for the sweet shrimp sushi and the uni sushi. The meat and rice ratio was proportional.
The famous avocado eel egg roll-This dish is known to be one of the most famous dishes at this restaurant thus it’s impossible to miss out. Truth be told, I already fell in love with this on my first bite! It was just simply amazing, the egg wrap was soft, which complemented well with the crunchy fish roe and the creamy avocado. The eel itself was the main character of the dish, it was prepared until it is soft and smooth in texture and feels like it has no bones at all. Everything matched so well together.
Crabmeat Avocado Roll-The avocado on top looked and tasted fresh, the crabmeat in between was juicy but light. Avocadoes and crabs always make a great combination!
The famous tamagoyaki with cheese- Another famous dish of The Mon, though I’d say that the avocado eel egg roll was way better than this tamagoyaki dish. This dish had the eggy flavor of it and was paired well when eaten with a bit of the white radish on the side. The cheese inside was still melting when it was served but I think that the flavor of it could be richer.
Overall Rating: 4/5, most of the points went to the Avocado eel egg roll!
