We visited Black Wood to partake in their izakaya experience. To begin with, the setting is pleasant; the restaurant is spacious and tastefully decorated. It's quite Japanese in style. The service is pleasant and friendly, and their tableware is attractive and intriguing to look at.We were impressed by their vast menu and ordered a variety of meals, including seafood (salmon sashimi, salmon suhi, yellowtail sushi, swordfish sushi, roast crab), Yakitori (asparagus with pork, asparagus with Lychee
We were impressed by their vast menu and ordered a variety of meals, including seafood (salmon sashimi, salmon suhi, yellowtail sushi, swordfish sushi, roast crab), Yakitori (asparagus with pork, asparagus with Lychee, beef skewer), beef sea urchin roll and edamame. The dishes were all delicious, but the roast crab and lychee pork skewer stood out. Their beef skewer was the only dish that was OK-ish. (the beef was not the most tender)
We also sampled their Sake, which was tasty and came with a cool unique cooler in which to keep it. It is highly recommended that you visit this location again!
