I decided to check out the new Yata in APM and found a food truck in the middle of their grocery store!! Food trucks are popular in North America. I love eating at food trucks as the food, the people who run it, the people you chat with while wolfing down whatever they are serving ... Even I wanted to run a food truck! So, seeing this food truck (even though it was fake) inside a grocery store, made me smile and I had to try it out.They have a menu both on top of the food truck and at the tables
They have a menu both on top of the food truck and at the tables provded. You order at the "food truck" window and pay. Then you wait for your food to be delivered to you. Menu was in English only. Choices seemed interesting and vast that I didn't know what to order. Finally, I asked what the pie of the day was and they said "gourmet beef pie" and I was sold. Even though I really wanted to try their coffee, I ordered an ice lemon mint tea as it would complement the beef pie better.
The pie came with a bowl of salad. The bowl was beautiful.
The salad was served with a whole grain mustard dressing. The amount was a decent portion to not be too small or too big. Salad greens were crisp and fresh. Cherry tomatoes were nice.
Gourmet beef pie was the size of a hand. Pie pastry was a puff pastry and not shortcrust. A very British style meat pie as opposed to an American style pie.
Beef was nice and tender. The gravy inside the pie was rich. I found they had mushrooms in it as well. This was a pretty decent meat pie.
Ice lemon mint tea was cold and refreshing. The mint infused in the tea was quite strong. I liked it.
Service was friendly. The staff asked what I thought and perhaps next time try thier sandwiches and coffee. I even dropped my fork and was immediately given a new one without my asking. Next time I will return and try their coffee and other items on their menu.張貼
