When i grab something from YATA, i often caught a glimpse of this grill bar on my way out. I finally thought about trying it for lunch today, but the experience was close to appalling ! Thirdly, a super super lively cockroach came crawling across the bench as soon as my steak was served the waiter again did not do anything about the roach and just pretend he didn’t see it
Finally, my steak was over cooked! I asked the waiter/cooking person to have it medium rare, he said I would be the one cooking my own steak on the flat iron. But as you can see in the photo it came out to be well done!he just blamed it on the steak being too thin (it’s about 5cm thick) without doing anything about it - he just went back to eat his egg plant lunch that he cooked on the same stove he heated my meat (wth)
Nonetheless, I must say the white truffle garlic condiment was phenomenal, and the flat iron remained hot all the way up to end of my meal and the beef was well seasoned. I would hope this review could help the owner improve hygiene and maybe change or train the staff properly - he seems to be poorly trained and incapable to serve food up to standard. It’s a great business model I hope to see in yata, but services must improve.
Also please bring back the wagyu steak!!
