Very glad we didn’t order the upgraded version. We initially asked what kind of Wagyu it is, the manager indicated it was an Australian wagyu. When asked what marble rating it is, he indicated to me that Australia Hanger Steaks don’t have Marble ratings - Guess what? They DO!
Due to the dubious addition, we didn’t choose the upgraded version and afterwards we realised we were lucky we didn’t. Some other unlucky chap did order the upgraded version and the steak was in front of me. I asked the chef what Wagyu that is and he had the audacity to tell me it’s a Japanese A3! See my last attached photo. I think anyone who enjoys food would realize that not only is that not an A3, it might not even be Wagyu at all!
I told the chef that the manager told me it was an Australian Wagyu, and he then told me he doesn’t know what the restaurant uses and doesn’t know where the ingredients come from.
Any respectable chef would know where his ingredients come from and if an ingredient is switched on him, he should know just by having a look at it.
Overall if you’re looking for a cheap meal, come here, but don’t order the added menu. Not worth it!
