I came to TST to meet up with some friends. I came a little too early so I wandered around hoping to find something new. As I walked along the maze-y streets, I ended up getting lost as it's been awhile since I last visited. As I kept walking while trying to find the main road, I stumbled to find this shop. I noticed that quite a lot of customers were taking out food and holding out bags of bento sets under the rain. And I thought that this place must be good for hoards of people picking up thei
Their menu is offered in English and in Chinese.
I ended up with Minced Pork Rice with Popcorn Chicken set ($48). Beside the shop, there's a small area where you can stand while eating so that's where I headed. The set includes minced pork with rice, half a tea egg, a couple slices of marinated cucumbers, and popcorn chicken. The minced pork was too salty for my taste. I can't tell if they're trying to hide something in their pot of pre-prepared pot of minced pork or it was just poorly seasoned. They also poured a ladle of their sauce so it wasn't dry at all. But with this cold weather, I just persevered buying a drink - afraid that I'd need to go and find bathrooms in this unfamiliar district.

The rest of the ingredients were good though. The well-spiced chicken were plenty, juicy and tender - something I find few Taiwanese stalls can achieve.
Cash and Octopus are accepted. There is no 10% charge. Overall, my meal was good and filling. If it wasn't so rainy and cold, I'd order their drinks but that is for another day to try.
