the environment:simple and modern. like the wall deco -- very minimalistic. very simple wooden table with any extra decorative item-- simply with a simple orchard flower there -- that does not seem too much like a high class japanese resturant in a 5 star hotel. well been to the one at Four Season which is quite similar in table setting. so this one is really not too bad. cosy quite setting overall. the food魚生好fresh. presented in a crecent shape plate-- very japanese. treatng it as an art. 魚生好fresh. presented in a crecent shape plate-- very japanese. treatng it as an art.
However the salad is pretty disappointing.沙律就好随便。同外面100 to 200元set 差唔多要落D心機先得。the look and the presenttaion itself is not very appetizing... the taste then is well.. exactly as any other mid-range restuarant. They should improve on this aspect. more and more people pay emphaise on vegi.
But the overall set is pretty impressive as it lays out as in the picture.
Abalone is pretty impressive. even though 鮑魚嘛還是都爹利最好so far.
crab is wonderful. very juicy yet crispy tiger prawn.
The fried rice is surprisingly good -- dry body yet each piece embodies lot sof good favour. actually this is the most favourite part of the overall set.
The food overall is very good -- except the green salad.
The service
Not bad. yet waitress can be more professional 唔夠養眼。 they dont even wear make up. i was expecting someone very delicate and speaks very softly to customers. 高級日本店應有的配件這個稍欠奉。total solution 差左D。
But this is still better than the Japanese resurant located in Four Season -- I went there during lunch time as it is as noisy as in wet market. The waitresses are dress in rigid black suit uniforms and majority are over 40s yet not groom themselves properly. few have Mandarine accent as well. So I went there once and did not go back agian. So compared with that "famous" one, i will really think this one in Pennisuala is actually very decent. Just that i am pretty demanding and forgive my being a bit picky -- nonetheless we are talking about in Pennisula Hotel right?
