My friends love to go hotpot even in these hot and humid weather. They didn’t get to go out for hotpot because of the Covid-19 virus and now that the pandemic has eased up a bit and we organized a quick dinner gathering. The 5 of us gone there without booking and luckily still got a table. We settled down then started to go thru the menu. We quickly decided the soup base, Sichuan red oil and pork bone soup. 3 of us love the heat of the red oil, so we ordered the medium spiciness. I can’t take the heat so I only cooked my meat and veggie in the pork bone soup.
The side dishes we ordered were all fresh. The beef and lamb were of high quality. The shrimp ball and squid ball were quite tasty. The squid ball had cheese filled in the center and that was a pleasant surprise.
Overall, the meal was not too pricy and the food was good. I would recommend this place, just a little walk from the Mongkok MTR station.
