It’s a cheat day for me! As spacious Italian eatery Da Filippo has made its home at the quieter end of Harbour City. Lets give a try!Soup: Lobster bisque 🦞 A smooth and creamy French Soup! A smooth and creamy French Soup!
I can taste big chunks of garlic butter lobster tails in every bite. The lobster meat is fresh and sweet!
Appetiser: Tuna avocado tartare with pickled onion 🧅
Fresh tuna together with avocado 🥑 Grains of avocado is served with lime juice, form a taste of bittersweet. The tuna is a cold sashimi grade, absolutely appetising with savoury onion. The portion is good enough for 2-3 people.
Pasta: Classic Carbonara
I would describe it as a creamy carbonara, silky spaghetti made with egg yolk (didnt overcooked!!) Parmesan & pecorino cheese, cured pork. Cured pork is made with pork jowl/cheeks, has strong flavor and fat to make carbonara delicious!
Pizza: Meat lovers
It’s a classic pizza with Mozzarella, Salami, Parma Ham, Pancetta, Finocchion. It uses sourdough for its thin-crust pizzas. Although it’s a thin one, I felt chewy for every bite which I like this texture for pizza! Parma Ham is thinly sliced, taste salty and moist. The lean and the fat filling the mouth with a complex and satisfying sensation.
Main: Grilled Hanger Steak
Hanger steak is not commonly served and thats why I chose it, and I have done a absolutely right choice!! Hanger steak has great flavor, decent amount of fat make the steak juicy and tender.
Dessert: Semifreddo Cappuccino
Semifreddo is a semi frozen “ice cream”. I will say it half way between ice cream and mousse. So tasty!!! It is a rich taste of cappuccino, my frd and I enjoyed so much. A very special one!
