Visited this restaurant with colleagues. The defor of this place is very nice, it is not too noisy, which is a big plus. We ordered the 4 soups combo hotpot. All 4 soups tasted great! We got a standard selection of ingredients - meat, mushrooms, tofu, veggies, shrimp balls. Everything was fresh and nicely served. One of my favourite parts in eating hotpot is actually eating the hotpot dip made of majiang (麻酱) sesame paste and other ingredients. Usually in HK people do not eat majiang with hot pot that often, and I do miss it a lot. Drunken Pot offers not only majiang, but also a wide selection of other ingredients for DIY hotpot dip, such as chilly pepper, garlic, peanuts and etc. Excellent!!! Loved it!
We also ordered a sake bomb, and it was the best decision made. It made the soup taste AMAZING, I could only drink this soup and nothing else!
I also liked the way they served plum juice. It is very creative!
Generally, the attention that this place pays to every small detail, such as way of serving the meat, elefant-shaped tea pots, soft drinks in the lightbulbs, a pretty way to serve majiang, makes it really stand out! Even though this place is not cheap, it definitely worth every dollar we spent! Delicious and unique!
