I came here on a Sunday with some friends from out of town hoping to get something "Authentic" in Hong Kong. The authentic part is probably the only positive description I could give them.PROs: Very cheap, first come first serve seating so we got lucky!, and still has the old fashioned push carts. PROs: Very cheap, first come first serve seating so we got lucky!, and still has the old fashioned push carts.
CONs: Food was a bit bland. We usually go to a dim sum restaurant in Sheung Wan and found that this place didn't have as much flavor and hygiene as the other restaurants. Seats are just stools or old chairs . No tablecloths so the waiter will use an old rag to wipe off the scraps from the table and throw you some cups and bowls on the table. You will need to clean your own dishes thoroughly if you don't like leftover grease on your bowl. Certain dishes can't be ordered from the carts and since the waiters only speak Cantonese or Mandarin, it's hard for Westerners to order. Service is also very minimal, if any. You have to get off your seat and hunt down a waiter wearing a white shirt if you need anything like hot sauce or mustard. Sometimes they might not even hear you if you ask for something politely. Place is also very loud and filled with tourists.
Conclusion: Food isn't anything I haven't seen from other dim sum restaurants. So if you prefer some place cleaner, quieter and with any service at all, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
