The first impression when I stepped foot in was like wow, really an old-fashioned and nostalgic one. We were assigned to a booth seat on 2/F floor, could look right down to the bakery and cashier section of this place👍🏻 Like other cha chaan tengs, menu has wide variety of options. I skipped directly to the sheung chaan part and quickly chose char siu soup macaroni with ham omelet, buttered soft bun and iced milk tea. Staff are efficient and unexpectedly friendly, no attitude at all. They even came to chat when he saw us taking pics of the interiors😯
Food came to table real quick. Cha siu was lean but tender, not dry or tough. Soup macaroni was al dente, didn't go soggy which was pleasantly surprising👏🏻 The bun they served was pre-buttered, very heart-warming. Bun was warm, soft and buttery, not bad! Iced milk tea was smooth and rich as expected, appreciate that👍🏻 After finishing the whole set, I added on an egg tart. It was a pastry based one, freshly baked and served hot. First bite was flakey, niether greasy nor oily. Silky smooth custard with perfect sweetness. No eggy taste or smell, 10/10. Star of the meal, highly recommended! 🥧
