Best hot pepper chicken around!

I love this restaurant! Didn't have a problem with the service, they were all very nice and doted on our young son. A bit hard to find (second floor, up a narrow staircase) but the interior is a nice open space with booths. The reason for this post though is to rave about their crispy chicken flash fried with loads of hot red peppers (霸王辣子雞)! This was fantastic, the best I've ever had. I love this restaurant! Didn't have a problem with the service, they were all very nice and doted on our young son. A bit hard to find (second floor, up a narrow staircase) but the interior is a nice open space with booths. The reason for this post though is to rave about their crispy chicken flash fried with loads of hot red peppers (霸王辣子雞)! This was fantastic, the best I've ever had. They do a great job of balancing the red pepper with the mountain pepper, and the blue chicken is crispy and fragrant and thoroughly impregnated with fiery zing! They throw in loads of cashew nuts - also crispy and spicy - which I haven't seen before in this dish (and which makes it oh so much more satisfying and fun than the usual variant). Surprisingly subtle with sesame seeds and shallots as well. Other dishes also good (we had the 10,000 year old eggs with green peppers, bitter gourd with pork, double cooked pork with fermented beans, fish slices in sichuan soup, roselle tea), but the hot pepper chicken is the standout. By all means, try it!
