I have been to Sino plaza for a few times without knowing that there are a few restaurants hiding in this business building. The Princess themed restaurant is decorated with all ivory colour furniture and table cloths. It felt clean, neat, and elegant at the same time. It was so much like a fairtale as soon as we talked into the dining area. The restaurant cleverly use 2 splits space with a corridor in between. We can barely feel like the restaurants being split in half even there are other cust

Since the owner used to run a private dining business specailising in desserts, she has proven herself that she is a all rounded chef

Assorted cookies

As soon as we were seated, we were served with a plate of assorted small cookie pieces and they are flavoured with butter, matcha, sesame seed, cheese, chocolate, and a savoury one which might be XO sauce or Tomyum. 

We actually leave the whole plate last and enjoy with our coffee after our meal. They were all tasty and buttery, no wonder she's the queen of dessert!

Homemade bread  

The bread was made with dried fruit and mixed nuts. The hard bread was crunchy with a nice bite. The warm bread was very flavourful from the nuts and raisins, and it was exceptionally scrumtious after applying some butter on it, which I am going to introduce next.

Homemade 'gentlemen butter'

The gentlemen butter was made using Spanish black olives, garlic, chili, and apple vinegar. The sauce takes 6 hours to be cooked before it gets mixed into the butter to infuse the flavour.

The butter melted into the warm rusty bread, giving a extra savoury spicy kick to the bread full of yeast aroma. It was rare for me to eat from the bread basket before the meal but I just couldn't help but finishing the whole thing before it gets cold!

The restaurant uses quality ingredients including these Italian colour tomato which gave an obvious fresher taste and firmer texture. Though I wish there are more than just 1 mini ball of mozzarella, the whole combination was just amazing especially with that herby bright green basil oil!

Salt-baked beetroot, lime and lemon cheese, and pickled watermelon

The cute red and yellow beetroot, and pickled watermelon has been cut in round cylinder shape, we particularly liked the beet puree because it was probably the sweetest part among the platter.

The sour refreshing cheese paired well with the sweet and juicy beets. The fresh beets were raw and hard in texture just like carrots, which was exactly how I like it.

Grilled gambas with crispy garlic, chives

A Cantonese twist on the menu with the gambas fried with loaded shredded chives, bean shoots, and garlic flakes. The strong taste gambas was a big contrast from the previous salad dish and it was a nice surprise in this Princess restaurant.

The fresh scallop sashimi was very sweet in its fresh taste and it was even sweeter when fresh apple balls and puree was added to this big piece of scallop. It was a rather lighter dish to enjoy as second course.

The soup was really thick and smooth with a very sweet taste from carrot and pumpkin. The soup was also stopped with some crispy thin bread and the same basil oil which was used in the tomato starter. It was such a healthy soup to savour especially for mommy!

We were told that the restaurant housemade their own pasta. The bright egg tagliatelle was cooked with bacon and some uni. Then mixed with some super food quinoa, topped with salmon roe. 

The pasta was very al dente with a rather chewy texture. The uni taste was sutble yet nicely complemented with the egg taste from the pasta. The salmon roes and quinoa not only gave some bites to the pasta dish, but also gave an extra fishy taste to the pasta.

We found that all the sauce and reduction were super nicely done from the restaurant. The mashroom puree and lettuce emotion were so outstanding that they almost took the focus over! The 2x year-old head chef was really talented with a passion. The semi-open kitchen showed us the chef in action.

Back to the main, the beef tenderloin was soft with a strong beef taste. The demi-glace was held in two pieces of grilled onion. The sweet and savoury taste has never been better with tenderloin!

Strawberry, cream cheese, yogurt, passion fruit ice cream

This dessert has been one of the staple dessert from the restaurant. The heel was made out of blended straweberries with cream cheese and yogurt, with a scoop of passion fruit sorbet like served on the side! 

The heel looked hard but in fact very soft and smooth, it was almost melting on the plate. The sweet and tanginess from the strawberry was a good pair with the sour and refreshing sorbet. 

The very cute and attractive looking dessert was put beside the written letters "Happy Mother's Day"! I think my mum was really flattered at this point!

Since it was Mother's Day, the restaurant played safe and serve a all fruit base dessert consists of a mix of fresh fruits. Among all, I particularly liked how they paried the ginger puree with dragon fruit. At first I thought it was a strange combination, but it was actually not too bad at all!

The Mother's Day set comes with a drink (tea/coffee) and we have upgraded ours with something more special.

Latte

What an amazing latte art with a cute bear! Despite the very artsy pattern, the coffee taste was strong enough to my liking, while the milk was foamed nicely without being too heavy. Nothing beats a good old cup of coffee after a meal!

Mint chocolate

The chocolate was great too with a hint of mint flavour. The mint was rather fresh and real instead of the very pungent fake mint type. The chocolate was not too sweet with a aromatic cocao taste. Perfect for kids to enjoy!

We have heard some good feedback before we came here and Princess gave no disappointment. Everything was scrumptious overall and the quality was generally above average. I really can't wait to come back again for their a la carte menu which I heard has much more variations.
